BJ Coleman and the Mocs (merged)

Not that it's here or there, but I thought the location of the original stadium was pretty cool... I wish they'd have refurbished the one on campus, but they didn't ask me..
Chamberlain Field had the appeal and charm of Red Bank Middle School field.

:eek:lol: you're right about feeling like you're sitting in bleachers at some high school... still, there's enough room on the west side that they could have closed it in and made something nice of it...

srsly, what's the point of building a UTC stadium 2 miles from campus in the middle of a fairly unsavory part of downtown... maybe they built it in anticipation of BJ?

It's a great place for soccer.

The worst part of it is UTC recently bought Engal stadium. That site or the parking area beside it would have been a much better spot for a college stadium.

I agree that they should have just refurbished Chamberlain. It is one of the oldest campus stadiums in America I believe.

I didn't realize UTC bought Engel Stadium. If they are not doing spring fling there anymore, does UTC have a baseball team?

UTC "acquired" Engel.

Tennessee Temple will sub-lease the stadium to support its baseball program. Tennessee Temple will be responsible for the control and maintenance of the stadium with a multi-year lease.

UTC currently uses the property for parking and intramurals. Long-term plans for Engel include an NCAA track and field facility, which would be donor supported.

Since BJ Coleman has to play Bama, thought I would mention what a great job he's done for the Mocs. 17tds 7ints and 2312yards passing. I know there was a lot hate when he left, but it's good to see he excelled this year. He's still a Tennessean. Although Bama may double his int's in one game.

Zero. :)

Im from Chattanooga so that means I am an idiot right?

Nope, just a homer.

I think Bama will be resting up most of their starters in preparation for Auburn next week. There is no telling what the final score will be. The only thing I feel comfortable saying is Bama wins.

If its within 35 it will be a victory. Mocs coach Russ Huesman was on the 5:30 Gameday show on Espn and when asked, "What should Alabama worried about when playing your team?"

Huesman's resonse: "Auburn"

:eek:lol: That's awesome.

I'm a Chattanooga homer. Duh. We also call it pride.

Why did this thread lose steam as soon as Crompton started playing well? Hmmm...
You would think they could've at least started saying something like, "Yeah... well... BJ would be a better option at holding the clipboard on the sideline than Stephens!"

A lot of times Vegas wont even publish a spread on a FCS team vs an FBS team.

If I had to guess I would say its in the 40's.
