BJ Coleman and the Mocs (merged)

OK what do you know about the situation that I don't. Please share if you have any insider info

I have some inside information to share with you. Just keep it quiet as it is confidential. Here it is ……..

Coaches are with these kids every day evaluating them; you are not.

Now don’t let that get out. That is just between you and me.

Ok so they evaluate them, while evaluating them it's clear that Coleman was playing better than Crompton. All I am saying is why wasn't he given a chance to run with the 1st team offense. I just think CLK may have had an ulterior motive

It is not clear that Coleman was playing better. You are regurgitating what was printed in the Chattanooga press. But, I would expect no less from a rival fan or Colmanite Clan member. It is in your best interest as a rival that we play your team with an inferior QB.

The idea that a coach earning a 7 figure salary has any motive other than to win as fast as he can is utterly ridiculous.

If you call playing the best player an "ulterior motive," then I guess he had an ulterior motive. Coleman just barely won the starting job at UTC! He had no business leading the Vols.

How is Crompton the best player he couldn't even complete 50% of his passes in spring ball. Those numbers have been in many different sources not just nooga ones. I am not saying he should have been the starter, but why didn't he get a chance to run with the first team for a series or two. It couldn't hurt given Crompton's performance

The fact that he barely won the starting job with the Mocs, a team that only won 1 game last year, tells me everything I need to know about his abilities.

Coleman is this board's gift that keeps on giving, the scab that needs to be picked. What is it about a kid that that most on this board believe to be the worst quarterback ever to play high school football in Tennessee (but only after he departs) and yet still can generate 11 pages of posts by getting the starting position on the worst college team in the state?

He did and he made Crompton look good.

Two completely different staffs with nothing in common both came to the same conclusion about BJ Coleman, he sucks.

He didn't trash the program. He said he didn't think he was getting a fair shake. He said he thought he had the best spring. Trashing the program would have been something like this, "I'd rather start for a horrible team than sit on the bench watching a mediocre team".

Mocs absolutely trounce Wofford tonight 39-9....BJ threw 4 TD's in the win....Mocs are 3-1 going into the bye week.

883 yards passing, 9 TD, 1 INT

He is also currently 2nd in the league in pass eff. at 145.9

No way you can convince me Crompton is a better QB than BJ!!

If only Crompton could play exclusively against teams Western Kentucky would rape. Gosh. Stats against UCLA and Florida are really comparable to a bunch of I-AAAAAAAAAAAAAA teams with a combined record of 6-11.

I saw him at UTC Sunday leaving team meetings and he didn't look very big. I'd be surprised if he weighed more than 200 lbs. He didn't have much muscle either. He looked kind of scrawny to tell you the truth.

Crompton plays good against crap teams too. Who's the guy who couldnt beat out Crompton? Or Stephens for that matter

Chattanoogan's are saying "Thanks for the BJ, coach Kiffin"

Chattanooga's QB stats in just four games played:
222 avg passing yards per game.
9 TD's (73 yard bomb is the longest)
63% completions
1 INT

On oct 31, and Nov 14th, lets make a road trip to Chattanooga and see what a "woulda, shoulda, coulda", looks like in real life!

Tickets are just $10 at the gate (not $40.)
the stadium only holds 21,000 so we might want to get there early to get a seat... I heard a lot of Chattanooga Vol fans are staying home on these two dates.
