BJ Coleman and the Mocs (merged)

I find it funny that such an educated and polished person, which you obviously are from what I've gathered through years of reading your posts on here, can let Chattanooga make you totally lose all control and post trivial pot shots and other general drabble on an athletic fan site. Your posts are normally very entertaining and I enjoy reading them, but this is just a little much.
There's no loss of control here. I'm simply writing on a level the average Chattanoogan can understand. Using my standard vocabulary when addressing the residents of Hamilton County would be comparable to performing calculus in front of a beagle. I'd be wasting my time and the viewer would still be clueless.

Please share those numbers so we can look at them.

Here are the numbers:

The Chattanooga native was 41-of-60 for 428 yards in the spring sessions at Neyland Stadium, with four touchdowns and no interceptions.

By comparison, Jonathan Crompton was 31-of-70 for 324 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while working with the first team. Nick Stephens missed the first few practices after a wrist injury, but completed 13 of 25 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns in the scrimmages.

What a shock. A fawning report about their idiot prince from the Chattanooga media. Hope they enjoy covering him leading the Mocs to 2 wins this season.

They conveniently left out the fact that BJ was playing against the 2nd string defense. But I don't expect any news outlet here in Chattanooga to include that fact. They'll do anything to fluff up their Golden Boy.

The fact that other players who quit the team ride off into the sunset never to be discussed again, blows your argument.

Exactly. That's why you don't see anyone talking about Lennon Creer, Ahmad Paige, etc. They didn't feel the need to trash the coaches and other players to their hometown media.

The Chattanooga media has the same credibility reporting on Coleman that the North Korean press does when discussing Kim Jong Il.

Expecting 2 wins might be giving them too much credit. They only won 1 last year, and it was against an NAIA school that my high school team could have beaten.

A post that perfectly represents the intellect and wit of the average Chattanooga resident. You should run for mayor there.

What exactly is it about Knoxville that makes it appealing? UT??? That's about it from what I remember. Knoxville is full of idiots just like Chattanooga. I went to Carson-Newman so I probably have a decent shot at the mayor's gig here ;)

Carson Newman? How's that career in snakehandling turning out for you?

hahaha I was kinda wondering about that when I was getting ready to go there. But they removed themselves from the Southern Baptist Convention prior to when I enrolled. It's a "liberal arts" school now :wink2:

So hat doesn't like Reggie White, Peyton Manning, Eric Berry and Phil Fulmer.

Who do you like?

I had a few who graduated from Carson Newman in the early '90s. They aren't complete imbeciles.

I don't have anything against Eric Berry. I just have yet to see anything that indicates he's the combination of Deion Sanders, Ronnie Lott, Night Train Lane, and Christ that everyone else says he is.

Carson-Newman is an interesting place only because half of the students were home schooled. Nothing like a home schooled girl ;)

Wow...some bitter people in this thread. I never compared him to Flaco. All I said was Flaco left a big program and went to a small program and did great things. The same kind of thing could happen here. Not saying BJ is as good as Flaco, but I hope he does well. Relax a little bit!

I will see your "home schooled" and raise you a dozen "Preachers' Daughters"!

My best synopsis of him is that he is a shorter, faster Steve Atwater.
