I have often wondered this same question, but I think it all comes down to the recruit's preference. Assuming they even care. I think the most important thing would be a sense of camaraderie with the coaches, players, students and the community.

this is why Kellen Winslow ended up at Miami and not Washington....his dad stated that Washington didnt have enough black coaches on the staff and he wouldnt sign the paperwork if Kellen chose them.....so to say COLOR doesnt matter at all is false....it does to certain families, not all though....

I heard dem black coaches haul them there colored boys that sure can run.

he is now....but when he was being recruited he seemed like a pretty decent young man who let his father dictate where he went....I think this has a lot to do with the attitude....he did go to THE U....
