Bob Kesling Retiring

Mike Keith !!!! All day long.

Plus, he has got to be ready to leave the Titans. They are impossible to watch and will be for many years to come.

Tom Hart would be my favorite of all the names listed so far, but I'm not sure how realistic that is.

As long as he quits screaming SAAAAAAACK!! I’d be OK with it.

Let's bring back the duo of the mid-90s Tennessee baseball announcing fame: Mike Keith and John Wilkerson

Have Mike Keith as the main announcer and John Wilkerson doing the color commentary. As someone earlier pointed out, the Titans do not look like they are on their way up, and Keith could join the rising tide that is the Tennessee Vols now. While I am familiar with Keith the most from my childhood days in Knoxville, I am willing to consider others that are better than Bob.

Gotta wish Kesling nothing but the best in retirement (it's hard to follow THE legend himself, I still miss a good John Ward call, RIP), but now we won't have to worry about cheggerboards anymore, whatever those are.

I've always thought VN fans were a little over critical of Bob. I thought he did pretty well. He was no John Ward but no one else is either.

I think Kesling was pretty good overall. I think just about anyone would appear to be a downgrade compared to Ward. The man was a legend and that's tough to follow.
Yep, but it's still tough for me to forgive what could have been the greatest call of his career given the 5 minutes he had to think about it. It just gets over the upright! You had 5 minutes and you screwed it up!

Really happy that ole Bob got to announce some good football again at the end of his career. I’m not old enough to remember the legendary John Ward, so Kesling is the only voice of the Vols I’ve ever known. He doesn’t project the most excitement, but he’s always been a class act. I wish him the best.

I may not like to hear him call games but I hope he enjoys retirement and hopefully they welcome him back anytime he wants.

I’d even put him up there in the ring. He did call games for the Vols after all.

We need a VFL who's not afraid to have a little homerism and not afraid to cheer on a good play. I like the dog's 'announcers because they have passion and love their team. That's good to listen to
I loathe UGA’s announcers. I’ve heard more professionalism from people announcing high school games.

Thank the Lord. Long overdue.

I‘d personally be surprised if Mike Keith would leave the Titans, so my top choice is Tom Hart from the SEC Network, ESPN, etc, IF he’d be willing to take the job. Tom knows Knoxville and Tennessee very well (although he’s a Mizzou grad) with him being the voice of the Tennessee Smokies for a couple of years and doing Vol games on occasion in recent years.
I like Tom Hart a lot but he's climbed the ladder to ESPN/SECN and I'm sure he's set.

Wilkerson seems to be a likely choice. Kevin Simon has that silky smooth radio voice but it's unknown if he could handle multiple sports.

And if it is JW...DO NOT take him off baseball!
