If CPF ever needed a clearer call to prove his point I dunno what it would be. If he interviews and gets hired...id be wowed.

At least there will be something else to talk about at Media Days. Who do you think will represent Vandy?

Vandy press conference this afternoon.

@hutton1045 has learned that #Vanderbilt is working on setting up an afternoon press conference.

I liked Bobby Johnson, met him a few times and got to know him a little while my friend played for him at Furman.

I know some are debating his merits as a coach at Vandy and I had a thought, is he really on par with Denardo or has the SEC been tougher at the top, maybe even the middle, now than it was while Denardo was there? Just want to know others thoughts.

Didn't Phillip say he only wanted to coach at a school that was committed to winning and thus why he is still unemployed.

George Plaster is reporting on 104.5 The Zone that there will be an interim coach. The names he mentioned: Bruce Fowler, Ted Cain, and Robbie Caldwell.

isn't losing regurally bad enough press? who could they get who actually has a track record of winning?

they seem to care more about school reputation academically (note the no AD)...they want someone to run the program, but they often seem to care less about throwing possible risks in to try to jump start it

(Actually no, it's not bad press. You lose as much as they do it just becomes no press).

But football success...I'm not sure for them that it's really as near crazy-important as it is for most of the other schools in the conference or south in general

why would tuberville be second on your list for vandy? he just got hired by texas tech

He isn't happy there, and I think he'd take an SEC gig in a heartbeat even if it was Vandy. Tubbs has publicly stated he doesn't think a 10 team big 12 will last, why not jump ship now?

Ted Cain? The guy is lucky to still be the OC, much less an interim HC.

Mike leach is an interesting name... Would candy be able to handle the press on that hire?

They really need to give Malzhan a call.
