Nobody can make an serious argument against his coaching ability, so it gets reverted to."No, he's a scumbag" over and over again. I'm not sure if it's comical or pathetic.

Depends on the interview process and due diligence. Sometimes an individual strays and then straightens out -- see our own Daniel Hood.

Vet him carefully, write the contract appropriately (any screwup no buyout just hit the bricks), could be the bargain hire of historic proportions.
