Boo Carter "Having conversations about his future" [He’s staying]

If used properly, he could have a Percy Harvin type career on offense. Anyone remember him at UF? He killed us every time we faced them. He has the same skill set. Maybe not quite the breakaway speed, but close. I personally think his talent is a bit of a waste on defense.

He's going to be our Travis Hunter, or at least wants to be. I wish Christian Harrison wouldn't have left, as it would make playing him on offense a little easier.
Harrison was here for 3 years and a true freshman beat him out and sent him to the portal. Boo is only going to get better.
I understand your point though

Harrison played pretty well, but yeah it's more so in case Boo needs a rest from playing on offense or nicked upped. We should have one of the younger guys like Farooq or John Slaughter able to play that position.

This would help UT tremendously. We want more Travis Hunter types to consider us and come here.
What a terrible problem to have. A 2way player that excels on both sides of the ball

Since our wide recs could not get open against Ohio St dbs, common sense would tell you to find some answers on the team. Carter simply knows he can get seperation to give Nico an open target. very simple

I live in the county he played HS ball, and did work at the high school he played his senior year.

I've attended most of Bradley county football games for the last five years (home only).

He mostly played slot here, and a little RB on that side of the ball. He had a D1 QB here though also throwing the ball, who ironically is played DB now at Miami (oh).

He's very dynamic out there to be sure and was not sure why UT didn't utilize him more in that side

I recognize punt return is not the same as going against regular defense.
When Boo got the ball, at any moment we thought he could break one to the house. Who else on this team did that? DSamp? Kid has quickness and the ability to make people miss. It's worth seeing if that translates to offense. You keep an defensive All SEC caliber player on your team and you could potentially have a difference maker on offense in the same person.
This doesn't seem that hard.

Gatlinburgvol,To think that all anyone besides you thinks only about the money,Boo is for what can help this team next year.Don't let the dollar get your taffey pulled in the wrong direction.

So we have a player meeting with coaches the day before the portal closes making position demands and leaking it.

Same player who took a trip to Colorado last year after being committed.
Carter would be a solid Carl Pickens clone and he has Willie Gault type speed.
I’ve been saying all season we need him in the wildcat at least 4 to 5 times per game. He doesn’t have to learn the whole offense. Simply let him use his god given talent.

Sounds like mismanagement then. We needed more playmakers this season. Why didn’t we try him there. He did good returning punts later in the year
He did have some decent returns, but he actually let a lot of punts hit the ground and roll for 10 to 20 yards. I was trying to figure out if they told him not to fair catch or return punts or if he was afraid, he'd get hurt.

Play the guy on offense. We need playmakers on that side of the ball. It has to be frustrating knowing you can contribute on offense and you're not allowed to. Hell, us fans have been frustrated with it all year long and knew it would come back to bite us. And it did.
Boo not playing offense is not in the top 100 reasons for the loss in Columbus
