Travis Hunter was the #1 overall recruit in America. Boo is very talented but not on that level. Please don’t put that kind of expectation on him if he does go both ways next year, folks. He's going to be our Travis Hunter, or at least wants to be. I wish Christian Harrison wouldn't have left, as it would make playing him on offense a little easier.
Take the ball out of Sampsons hands? Best statistic back we’ve had. Then you’re looking maybe for other backs this year with limited carries already.I’ve been saying all season we need him in the wildcat at least 4 to 5 times per game. He doesn’t have to learn the whole offense. Simply let him use his god given talent.
I wish he'd do whatever the coaches asked him to do and do it to the best of his ability.Majority of this board was screaming loudly for Harrison Bailey over Hooker after the 2021 Spring game. That’s why.
I wish he’d concentrate on catching punts.
Those were the last “meaningful” snaps Bailey has taken in 3 yrs, under two other head coaches.Harrison played pretty well, but yeah it's more so in case Boo needs a rest from playing on offense or nicked upped. We should have one of the younger guys like Farooq or John Slaughter able to play that position.
College football isn't done. College football is more popular than ever. Viewership up 58 percent this season and they are making bank. We will gripe and moan, but we also will still show up and watch, so nothing is going to change. College football isn't done, college football as we knew it is doneWe had the defensive end demanding $45,000 a month and that he be guaranteed to play every third down.
College football is done.
Two are Heisman winners, two are in the NFL HOF…the other will be a top pick in the NFL draft. Travis Hunter missed last season for a laceration to his liver playing offense. Thats a two player injury. Boo hasn’t shown he’s in the same conversation as those 3. Solid player but those 3 are 1% players. What makes you think he automatically becomes an average DB if he plays wide receiver? Didn’t seem to bother the aforementioned Champ Bailey. Nor did it affect Charles Woodson or Travis Hunter.
Where did I say it was? I would say there are a multitude of reasons for the loss in Columbus, and not one player was the difference. But we have to get playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, or are you good with what we had this year?Boo not playing offense is not in the top 100 reasons for the loss in Columbus
One of the best kick returners ever here never panned out anywhere else on the field Evan Berry. You are right it's a different gift. Not trying to downplay Boos talent but East Tennessee high school football is not elite IMO. Boo may be elite, but he was going against teams that are not on same level as some of the Georgia HS around Atlanta metro and Texas HS. Just don't know how it translates, I guess we will either see or he will take his talent to Colorado and let Deion mode him.I recognize punt return is not the same as going against regular defense.
When Boo got the ball, at any moment we thought he could break one to the house. Who else on this team did that? DSamp? Kid has quickness and the ability to make people miss. It's worth seeing if that translates to offense. You keep an defensive All SEC caliber player on your team and you could potentially have a difference maker on offense in the same person.
This doesn't seem that hard.
