Border Wall Thread (Merged)

I wonder how long it will be before a politician makes a name for himself by standing at the wall and saying "Mr. President, tear down that wall."

Crowds will go nuts and people will reflect on the "dark days" of America.

You are comparing a wall to keep people in with a wall to keep people out. Nice try. Obama has killed thousands with his open border policy that is drawing people in like moths to a light bulb. Who in Mexico/South-Central America wouldn't want welfare, food stamps, free health care and free school for their children? Its great to allow people to immigrate but the numbers must be controlled in some way.

How's the deep end treating you? It's not being built along the Mason-Dixon line!

Wait and see....It will come down almost as fast as it goes up (if it goes up).

The whole wall process will be one of those things added to the dark side of America's historical ledger.

I think that may be the motto of the the International Association of Wall Builders.

I've noticed you always conclude your weakest points by calling me Cletus...it's starting to grow on me.

Everybody has a tell.

Do you really think that the Congress, even the GOP Congress, is going to be okay with Trump completely coopting this process? Spend billions upon billions, take over private property, and declare when, where, how, and by whom this gets done?

No.

Freakin.

Way.

I think they are approaching it from the standpoint that the money has already been appropriated for border security and as a result, that allows him to allocate certain funds for building the wall.

I highly doubt people that own land that connects to the border are going to complain about losing 10 feet for a wall when the flipside is they dont have to fear for their life when it stops the illegals from being on their property 24/7.

It's a fascinating phenomenon to watch. From thread to thread, topic to topic, bloviating network to bloviating network.

Simple minded Lemmings.

"Drug addled, welfare collecting, politically correct libtard snowflakes. **** Paul Ryan and John McCain!"

These same idiots likened those dudes to Jesus at various points in the past decade, but now that Donny "the piss" Trump tweets negative things about them, the whitewashed HoA club jumps in the tanning bed with him and starts squawking as one, monotonous group.

As I understand, around 500 miles of wall has already been signed into law but never built. This makes it very easy for Trump to move forward quickly.

As for private property rights, I do not think you will find very many ranchers on the border who will not be happy to give up a few feet of ground to stop the flow of illegals across their property.

Get your facts straight.

Tanning beds don't give that shade of orange.

The phenomenon is how wrong the prognosticators have been.

The biggest expense would be rebuilding/relocating their fences... Er. Nevermind.

If only we had an economic philosphy that surpressed people's rights like socialism.

I wonder if Mexicans will be building it? Mexicans are the best in the masonry trade.

When mexicans first started moving into the trade, too many only cared about how many brick they could lay in a day. Speed, speed, speed. So mortar joints are either fat or thin always trying to get back on course. Verticals never lined up. Either that or they just don't try til they're near the top. They'd even leave out masonry ties to hold the brick to the wall. If mortar mix made with too much sand and it crumbles. Let's not talk about straight, true, plumb, and level.

Yeah..some, were good masons and cared about their work. Most, it's that "how many brick per day".

That's gotten better in the last 25 years, but if you hire a mason, do your due diligence and know who you're getting.

I hired a really nice guy to do an outdoor fireplace and outdoor kitchen. His work was awesome and it looks great. Cleaned up his mess every day. It was blocks and stone work over the blocks. I was extremely pleased.

Article on their site says he's going to do this by EO. Huh? How can you order that massive an expenditure, deal with private property, hire and plan for this, by EO?

More insanity.

I can promise you anyone owning property on the border will more than welcome giving up some land to build a wall to keep the degenerate hordes out.

Why do you and your left think like this?

Why can't their be a process and paperwork pertaining to who comes in?

Isn't it unfair that they can run across and be here illegally yet someone from a third world country has filled out the proper paperwork (legally) and after 5 years still waiting?

Since it is so easy to run across (without a wall) your not that naive to think it's 100% just people wanting to come here for jobs are you? If Jose can cross illegally to work, don't you think Achmed is crossing to plan attacks??

Not being smart, just real questions seeking real answers.
