The BCS allows college football to have a regular season that is unrivaled in excitement and meaning in all of sports. I won't go so far as to say that "every game matters" but without a doubt, more games matter in CFB's regular season than in any sport. Consider the alternative of the NFL where you watch 3 months of glorified scrimmages, a handful of meaningful games in December and 4 weeks of playoffs. At the end of the day, NFL teams aren't rewarded for being good from September to January, all that matters is getting hot at the right time. In college football, it's very tough to win a championship and take a week off, and certainly taking 2 weeks off knocks you out of contention for good.

Did you copy and paste that straight from the BCS page? Our so-called 'system' is a farce. We don't know for a fact that OSU wouldn't beat Alabama. The system sucks.

Under this same logic, Auburn should have played for it in 04, their strength of schedule held them out. The same should be done to Bama now.

#2 and has been that way for how many weeks? Game should be #1 against #2, that is the system we have and until it is changed , "It is what it is"

Their strength of schedule held them out because they were up against 2 other unbeatens, so there was almost no other way to separate them. Make no mistake about it, the loss to Iowa St. kept OK St. out this year. All they have to do is win that game and Bama has no argument.
