You think that the SEC is done adding teams with the inclusion of Tx and Ok ... or could we see more teams come in in 2024 as well???

Does weather work in its favor for such?
They have earned getting hosed. We have been hosed for the last 20+ years. If you rank each team’s difficult schedule using this chart with a rating of 1 – 3 with 3 being the most difficult I would say it works out like this:
Alabama – 2
Arkansas – 1
Auburn – 3
Florida – 2
Georgia – 2
Kentucky – 1
LSU – 2
Mississippi State – 2
Missouri – 1
Oklahoma – 2
Ole Miss – 1
South Carolina – 2
Tennessee – 1
Texas – 2
Texas A&M – 2
Vanderbilt – 1
So, I’d say that Auburn is getting hosed here while Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt are making out like bandits.
I believe it would be Vandy as well due to the instate “rivalry.” I think they would go this route if possible for the other teams. Besides UGA-UF, USC-UK, Texas-OK, LSU-A&M, Arkansas-Mizzou.If you go that route, our 1 permanent would have to be Vandy. I could live with that , but we have also played both Alabama and Kentucky a hundred time each,
It's really not as big a deal who the permanents are under 3/6/6. We are used to permanent teams being a HUGE deal balance wise because there is only 1 rotating team out of 8. Now there will be 6 rotating teams out of 9. The balance will come from the rotation. If you have easier permanents that means your rotation will be chock full of difficult teams.I can live w/ this if this is how it shakes out. Auburn would get hosed. TFB

The current head football coach at the University of Tennessee seems to disagree. No way does anyone think Vandy is a bigger game than Florida. The article says you need geography for a rivalry yet Florida and LSU are rivals. So are Minnesota and Michigan. In most cases, sure. But not every case.
I’ll take a shot at it:
Alabama: Auburn, Tennessee, MS State
Arkansas: Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri
Auburn: Alabama, UGA, Ole Miss
Florida: UGA, SCar, LSU
Georgia: Auburn, Florida, South Carolina
Kentucky: Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Missouri
LSU: Florida, Texas A&M, Ole Miss
MSU: Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M
Missouri: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky
Oklahoma: Texas, Missouri, Arkansas
Ole Miss: Auburn, LSU, MS State,
South Carolina: Florida, UGA, Vandy
Tennessee: Alabama, Kentucky, Vandy
Texas: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M
Texas A&M: LSU, MS State, Texas
Vandy: Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina
Yeah, but you play everyone every other year so it's not like you'll be playing teams who see the offense one time in their career like it is now when we cross over against say, LSU.I can't help but think that whatever format they announce, it's going to benefit Tennessee. The fewer teams that play us on a yearly basis, the better. For as long as Heup is our coach, our style of play could be a shock to any system that doesn't have the familiarity of playing is year in and year out.
