more great news. Kid is a player. On another note, people, stop looking solely at stars this early in recruiting. They don't mean a whole lot unless we are speaking of the top 30-40 guys in the nation.

Great pick-up. Hopefully we'll see him in orange.

I noticed your from Los Angeles... I didn't know USC moved and can USC even win the a conference title since being hit by the NCAA? I am assuming of course you are a USC fan:bump3:

Playing the “true fan" card I see. What a surprise.

Good pick up....and for those who are hating at getting 3 star players.....you can't expect a bunch of 5 star kids to sign with us seeing as we have our 3rd coach in as many years....give it time, they will come

Nope just trying to be satirical... Since it was above you thinking ability I will put it in layman's terms... I am tired of hearing the doom and gloom of Tennessee fans. Just because a kid is rated a 3 star athlete does not mean he is not going to get any better. Furthermore the kids that are ranked 4 and 5 stars have received offers from many different places, so it is going to take a lot of them a while to figure out where they want to play football.

Rivals' list will drastically change once these kids Senior year starts... put some faith in the boys making the big bucks to make these decisions

Good point. Way too early to get caught up on stars. Evaluations matter more after senior numbers get tallied up.

He'll be ranked higher and have more offers by the time it's Feb. 2011. Look for more schools to continue to go after him. Great pick up for us.

Randolph is scored a 78, which in turn = a 3***, if he gets to a 79 then he will be a
4****! Also Tom Smith who committed today is rated a 76 so he is also close to a 4****. It's a numbers game for those people who want to bash just cause he is not a 4 or 5 Star, understand the scoring system before you bash a recruit!!!!!!!!!!!!! GBO!!!!

Unless you actually think Zach Fulton is a 2 star, no one cares about ESPN rankings.

Stars mean almost nothing at this point...They mean more at the end of their senior season imo. Players can really improve from now up until the end of high school. I see this guy getting bumped up to a 4 star when it's all said and done.

I cannot bring myself to bash a kid who wants to play for UT. No matter how many stars they have (or don't have). Welcome to Big Orange Country Brian!

Just for those who are worried about the 3 stars... I just looked at rivals.com and over the past couple days only 3 star athletes are the only ones that are committing. I wonder if their fan base is freaking out?
