As a medical professional who works in the ER, I can tell you that break was either the Tibia bone or Femur, hard to tell without examining, but either way that kind of injury will not only end his college football playing, but it will most likely end any hope for the NFL. Very sad.

I had a friend break a femur like that in HS and he played the next season.

Why was the entire lower leg from the knee down s locked deways? If it’s a beak, it’s a high Tibia fracture.

I think it looked that way cause his ankle was dislocated/broke and pointing straight but his leg was actually pointing the other way.

From the look of his foot, it looked like a broken and dislocated ankle, although the break actually occurred on the outside bone known as the fibula. The dislocation occurred on the inside of the ankle. I’m speaking from experience because my foot looked exactly the same way when it happened to me in a rugby match when I was 24. Unless they have developed a new technique, they will put two plates and a screw all the way through the ankle to stabilize and heal it. I self-rehabbed and was back playing rugby in about three months.

I didn't see it and you may be correct but as another medical professional I'll reserve judgement until further information from the medical staff/physicians.

I really hate it for him, as all of us on here do. He's been the best blocking WR we've ever had and the hardest-running after the catch. The catch to set up the win over Bama had already solidified his status as a Vol Legend and as bad as I hate to see his season end, at least he went out a winner tonight in no small part because of his catches and the fumble he recovered because of his downfield hustling.

It wasn't his ankle. It you couldn't clearly see it was (most likely) his knee femur that was broke, than I don't know what to say. It was right there on camera and it was obvious. In fact, when the camera was on the Tennessee sidelines, one of the assistant coaches mouthed, "it's broken." Man, a lot of people jumping on here posting about the injury that have no idea what they are talking about.

Oddly enough-you may be one of them.

Why don't we just wait until the actual doctors who have access to Bru and his leg say what happened?

Regardless of the specifics of his injury, proclaiming with certainty a mans career over within 45 minutes of it happening is in very poor taste. Multiply that by like a 100 when you haven't actually set eyes on the man or his injury.

Looked like his knee was dislocated.
Praying he heals up 💯! 🙏🙏

Lol…at these comments. Femur fracture is the thigh bone. (Upper leg). It looked to be a horrible lower leg injury,

Regardless, it was devastating and season ending, and perhaps, career ending. Reminded me of the Prothro guy at Alabama several years back. Prayers for Bru and his family. That’s the important thing.

Looks like a proximal tibia fracture. X-ray will confirm this. If that is the diagnosis he will undergo an ORIF with a proximal tibial plate and screws.

Certainly a possibility. As I said before, he appeared to have a divot over the anterior knee which very well be a proximal tib/fib with external rotation.
