Bru McCoy Injury

There’s a reason broadcasts don’t run replays after these type of injuries. It is out of respect for the family.
Are you suggesting Bru's family is following this thread? If so you think they are compelled to click on that link and press play?
Was neither trying to "be impressive" as you condescendingly suggested or offensive to Bru's family. This is a discussion about his injury and I posted a video that is all over the internet.

I know some of you are trying to be impressive, but that is really uncalled for.
In1974 I had a common football break of my ankle,or so said the doctors that treated UT athletes at that time.Ankle was broke in three places and it was pointing in the wrong direction.Had emergency surgery to pin the ankle back together.I was walking with a cane in two months and was back to normal in a couple more months.I l

I think it looked that way cause his ankle was dislocated/broke and pointing straight but his leg was actually pointing the other way.

I think it’s a distal Tib/ Fib fracture with possible ankle dislocation… means it’s all fractured close to his ankle…

Out for the season, but he will be ok after surgery and rehab…

At the stadium, with how quick they brought the cart out, I was scared it was a spinal issue. Hate it for the kid but I’m so happy he’s gonna be okay.

So with you

Before the trainers even got out there you could tell from the reaction of the other players that it was serious

Hate it for Bru. He has been all class and hard work since he arrived

I went back and watched the clip of him going down since I completely missed it during the game. I wish I hadn’t. Poor guy, that was brutal! Prayers for him.

As a medical professional who works in the ER, I can tell you that break was either the Tibia bone or Femur, hard to tell without examining, but either way that kind of injury will not only end his college football playing, but it will most likely end any hope for the NFL. Very sad.
I had that thought too. Hate to see you confirm it, but thanks for giving your input, since it’s far more educated than mine.

I love all these "medical professionals" in here that thinks they know it all just from seeing something on TV. And then calling the kids Career over! SMDH

What’s your job title?

Maybe most of the medical professionals are just people who are passionate about injuries and diagnosis’s, also love UT, hope for the best but are trying to process all angles and are sharing because it’s a thread about the injury.

I think most of us are smart enough to know that obviously they can’t KNOW, and don’t have access to MRI’s. Not all docs are arrogant, although they’re in all professions. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Note: I’m far from medical as I do construction 😂

If there’s one thing more fragile than the ankle of an athlete, it’s the ego of a doctor.

They don't "Perform" ANYTHING...

As someone who is also an emergency room physician I think there is a very good chance it was his knee as well. We all could see that his foot was obviously externally rotated which often indicates a fracture dislocation of the ankle, BUT what I thought I saw was a very unusual divot in the anterior knee where his patella should be. That very well could indicate a distal femur or even a dislocation of the knee (which is a horrible injury). Now I guess it could also be a dislocated patella as well as an ankle fracture but that would be an odd combination. hopefully I am wrong and this is based off the limited view watching it live.
I am hoping that the combination of the rotated ankle, an out of place pad, and limited view gave the illusion that something was wrong with the knee and that the injury is something repairable in his ankle. Prayers for Bru.

U are NOT a medical professional of any kind. U are at best the janitor. “ tibia bone”??
