You're 100% wrong on that one, Hat. I know for a fact it had everything to do with Smith's father having his hand out expecting extra benefits. Pearl didn't play along. Smith still wanted to come to UT. The deal with the booster from Franklin, TN fell through the minute Pearl got the job.

I realize you don't care for Pearl and have your reasons for it, but don't ever pretend you could ever be objective about anything concerning Pearl.
