Kentucky won 2 NC's, Florida was in the NC game. Mississippi State was just coming off a Final Four.

BP:
Pearl was dealing with a Kentucky program coming off an Elite 8, a Florida team that would win 2 NC's and an LSU team that would go to a Final Four. A Vandy Program that would make the sweet 16. All while finishing in the top 2 of the SEC 3 times.

Sure does. He took a team to a #2 seed that wouldn't have made the NIT with Buzz as the coach. thanks for helping our side!

Look, bottomline: Pearl has his coaching flaws. We all know that. He also has his upside. He's accomplished more in his time at UT than any other coach we have had. To ignore that is ridiculous. That's all I am saying on this matter. Pearl will prove to be a fine coach in his time at UT.

I was just giving you accomplishments that the SEC had during their post-seasons during each ones time. Since CBB is a post-season based sport I figured that might be the best way for you to figure out the answer to your question.

No, you tried to frame your argument. No one in their right mind would claim that the SEC has been better top to bottom in Pearl's tenure than it was in Green's.

I'm not ignoring anything. I believe I congratulated Pearl on getting the boys to the SEC tourney finals. He got the school its first number 1 ranking, and for that he should be commended. I just don't see the point of jumping all over me because I cracked a one liner in the second post of the thread and answered several poster's questions, all the while being called an idiot without anyone (besides you and tanker) bringing up anything the least bit substantial. But like I said, if some of you guys feel like being jackasses, that's your prerogative.

If you're going to make the moronic assertion that Matt Doherty deserves any credit for Roy Williams' national title, you have to admit Bruce owes his success to Peterson.

I actually enjoy reading the intelligent, valid criticisms of Pearl, and there are many out there, especially this year. It just seems like reaching when in each and every post about Pearl the same pattern emerges - some UT fans use sarcastic humor to poke fun at the guy and other UT fans rush to his defense. The funniest part comes next. The first group accuses the fans of CBP of deifying him or calling him the greatest coach of all time. Most of the people on the board see CBP for what he is - a good coach who has brought a lot of attention to our program and made us a perennial NCAA tourney participant and top tier SEC team. He's no more or no less than that right now.

you sure got me there. Since I'm not a great basketball coach that clearly means CBP is the best we could ever hope to hire. I'm amazed the football team has held up for all these years since I don't coach that either.

Screw it, I can't coach so let's shut down the entire AD.

No problem. Someone put forth the idea that Roy won with Doherty's players. I think that's imbecilic. The extrapolation of that is that Bruce owes Buzz. I always find that concept funny.
