I just don't think Auburn will spend enough on an annual salary to lure away a decent coach.

Like Ole Miss likely matches up to 10 million dollars. Would Auburn pay that much for Lane Kiffin?

The one thing about Mississippi is that contracts can only be 4 years so they extend their coaches usually each year by a year.

Like if you're Kiffin, you aren't sacrificing pay just because you can get a longer contract at a bigger school. $10m a year at Ole Miss winning at a 70% clip (20% higher than all time win percentage for the school) is a very cushy gig compared to the turmoil that is Auburn. And there is not even a signal yet that the booster dictatorship is changing.

The new Auburn AD is the same guy who hired The Pirate at MSU. Freeze or Kiffin are too safe of picks for him.

It is Deion.

I think Deion can do very well there.

Of course kiffin might blab it to everybody, being the clueless infant he is, and they may want to consider that possibility.

Here's the thing about Oklahoma - Since the CFP started they've been in it 4 times. You gonna leave there and go to Auburn?

I mean, if you want to get maybe $50 million and never work again, I guess you could.
