Bryce Brown allegedly on campus at UT, allegedly leaving Kan St (merged)

I have the solution.

Lets have ETSU restart its football program and Brice can get a scholly there. This would accomplish several things.

1) He'd be closer to his girlfriend
2) He'd still get to play for a school with State in the name
3) He'd instantly be the #1 RB on the roster, again....at the 3rd school.

I don't want to sound like I have it I'm for BB, cause I don't. I truly hope he find happiness and is able to separate himself from those who want to use him. I just have 2 problems with him. The fact that his trainer/mentor/lifecoach/handler is still lurking around him in the shadows. And that some are crazy enough to think he'd just stroll into Neyland and immediately be the best back on the roster.

If (and it's not happening, hes here for reasons unrelated to UT) but IF he were interested in coming back and Dooley took him, fine. Id accept it because I know DD is smart enough that if he allowed him back it would be just him and not all the other tag alongs and cling ons hes been associated with.

Plus his whole recruitment smacks of violations.

Can't believe so many responses to this madness...including mine! I'd not want this baggage back at UT under any circumstances.

I wouldn't have a problem with him coming back and competing for a roster spot. He was never arrested at UT so it's not like he's a thug wanting another shot. I also don't believe he had any issues with academics either.

I think his family/friends have screwed him over big time and if he never makes it to the NFL will drop him fairly quickly.

He just needs to know he's on a short leash and they won't give him the starting or even backup RB spot he'll have to compete for it like everyone else. I actually think that if he sat down with Dooley and spoke with him face to face and owned up to his mistakes then Dooley would welcome him back.

That being said does anyone know of a previous player who played for UT, then left, then came back and played for them again?

If Bryce wanted to come back to the team, I think Dooley would give him a path back. It wouldn't be easy, but Brown seems like an otherwise good kid who was being pulled in many directions.

I think that unless there was something more to the situation that we don't know about, it doesn't seem like Dooley would turn his back on him. That just doesn't seem like Dooley's modus operandi.

None come to mind but I agree with everything else you said regarding BB coming back. If he earns a spot then coaches believe in him and that's good enough for me.

I really don't see how we had 4 frosh and 1 soph Olinemen and Poole was able to rush for over 1000 yards but this year they can't get it done. If it's a scheme issue then that should be able to be corrected.

I don't see the problem here. The kid's dad screwed him over. If Dooley thinks he is good enough to earn a spot on the team, that's good enough for me. I actually thought Brown looked okay in the chances he had when he was with the team.

Someone on PowerCat (K-State Rivals site) seems to be confident that Bryce is not gone from the K-State team but only in Knoxville due to an "issue".
