Guess i should have been a little more clear by saying in their good days.

I knew what you meant- just joking
Reminds me of the movie Cobb

Louis Prima: With all the great players playing ball right now, how well do you think you would do against today's pitchers?
Ty Cobb: Well, I figure against today's pitchers I'd only probably hit about .290
Louis Prima: .290? Well that's amazing, because you batted over .400 a... a whole bunch of times. Now tell us all, we'd all like to know, why do you think you'd only hit .290?
Ty Cobb: Well, I'm 72 ****ing years old you ignorant son of a *****.

Some people, especially with mindsets like mine, don't like excuses. Especially when they are copouts for a lack of personal responsibility.

But using an illegal drug is "okay" because it allows you an escape, right?

Sounds contradictory.

Lulz at all the butt hurt people on this board. While there is no shot in hell it would happen, Id let him walk back on.

I, personally, am very strong willed and would have told my dad to kiss my ass if he didnt like where i picked to go to college. Unfortunately, I doubt BB is the same. You cant blame a kid for taking daddys side if he is harping in his ear all the time.

What you call butt hurt, I call common sense. He isn't stable, and you don't let instablity come in your house when you are rebuilding to regain stability.

Because he isn't/wasn't a 14 yr old. He was 18, maybe 19. Nothing but excuses. Some people, especially with mindsets like mine, don't like excuses. Especially when they are copouts for a lack of personal responsibility.

Yet you take up for Bruce Pearl?

At least be consistent.

What if he had proven that he was actually better than Trent Richardson? Would we embrace the instability at that point? Generally, I agree with what you said, but I would also be willing to give a mega super star stud beast a chance here. Too bad for Bryce, he aint that.

Really on topic there jg. You've pulled that out twice on unrelated topics. If you think everyone who does that is an irresponsible adult that accomplishes nothing because they don't take personal responsibilty, that's your problem. Start a thread in the pub.

How do you know hes instable? Do you personally know him and his family and what went on when Kiffin left? Do you know what his dad was saying or forcing him to do?

Didnt think so.

Im know backing him up, but you do everything you can to hold on to a #1 overall recruit. Stable or not.

When? I said he screwed up and had to go. That he blew the whole thing and left no choice. Explain how that is taking up for him.

You were a Pearl apologist for the majority, if not all, of the saga. Even today making it seem like he was an outstanding man for trying to "cover for his assistants."

Just doesn't seem right to have zero tolerance on an 18 year old for personal responsibility, yet give a 40-something pathological liar a free pass, or no?

When all the info came out on bp, I was not an apologist. I commented on you and others acting like he was committing the worst infractions in the history of the ncaa. I will always say that in the grand scheme over the last 30 years of the ncaa, what he did was minor. If you can't understand the difference between that and being an apologist, I can't explain it.
Secondly, copy where I said he was an outstanding man for covering for his assts. I said no such thing. That's just bs.
Third, bp didn't get a free pass. He lost his job and possibly career. I don't consider that a free pass.
Last, brown is far from zero tolerance. He had multiple chances. He had multiple options. He still has multiple options. You haven't seen me say anything about him outside of his dealings with DD. I don't think as a hc, he can afford to let him back and I agree.

You can argue semantics all you'd like. Does not change the fact there are vast inconsistencies in how you judge the two.

And you were a Pearl apologist. You know it, I know it and folks here know it.

BB has 16 yards rushing total this season for K. St. and that all came in the first game. He is either hurt or got benched. Their QB is their leading rusher with over 300 yds. Hubert is right behind him and had 166 yds against Miami.

Injured in the first game and didn't play the second. Have no clue why he didn't play in the Miami game.

He got Love drunk on Kiffin and staff. Then, after the practice concussion, he never was the same.

Nobody's kissing you arz in Knoxville anymore Bryce, well nobody in the athletic dept....and get a haircut.

Not sure how Pearl got in this thread...

Assuming this is true this is my take.

BB should have told dad to kiss it back then - but he didn't because he was an 18 year old kid with shady characters all around him and no experience dealing with them. He commits to UM with his brother only to find out that its going down and bro is leaving. He signs on with the Liar Surfer Dude and finds out that he and his staff are douches, while dad keeps telling him he has to come home when they bolt. He's had a handler since HS who is putting thoughts in all of his circle's heads. He has been messed with by the people closest to him that he should be able to trust and it is no wonder he can't get his act together on the field enough to win the starting job. Not to mention K-State primarily runs the spread while BB sought out pro-style offenses in his recruitment.

I think it would be really cool for him to show all of them what he wanted was to be a VFL by walking on at UT and earning his way to a schollie. He would be motivated to do his best and a couple of years older in maturity. He has excellent God-given talent that we could put to use as soon as he could get on the field. Under those conditions and assuming this is true, I would be a big supporter.

Regardless - message to Dad Brown - look in the mirror real closely at your image. Proud of it?
