Bryce Brown allegedly on campus at UT, allegedly leaving Kan St (merged)

Yeah I honestly feel bad for him..obviously he wanted to stay here but his dad forced him out. Hopefully he gets everything in life figured out whether hes playing football or not.

If he can walk on and produce, maybe we should take him back, if we're able. It's so not PC, but we need help in our running game, and maybe he can help. Bygones. JAT.

I'm late to the party as usual. So in all seriousness lets say he "rejoined" tennessee's football team. would he even have a year of eligibility?

He's effed whatever he does, more so than JJ regarding his NFL chances.

He will be 3 years out of high school. I know it sounds crazy , but I wouldn't be shocked if he tries to go pro. Keyword tries.

I can never feel sorry for a guy with gifts and options that does not make use of them.

Bryce Brown has trolled VN so hard. Aside from fulmer, he has to rank way up there in terms of board posts

It's not him. He's been horribly misguided. His parents should be ashamed of themselves

dad is just a moron.

When his dad was saying "a life or death situation" on the radio , I knew the man was nuts. I forget who he was talking to , but they asked his dad something like , "You think Bryce might die if he stays in Knoxville" and he said "yes". Funny thing Bryce keeps coming back here for months at a time. He isn't dead Mr. Brown. The interview was so over the top. He was saying anything and everything to get Bryce a release. No wonder Bryce has issues.

Question is does he know where Dooley's Office is located. I mean he only talked to him through text messages.

So we can infer from this post that Brown aimlessly wandered from Kansas to Knoxville, and is now wandering aimlessly around UTs campus in desperate search for Coach Dooley's office lol

Ultimately he chose to leave & go to K state & do nothing to benefit himself like they were just gonna hand him the starting job.

That was 10-15 minutes of the most surreal radio I've ever heard. The best thing that could happen is for BB to go to a top level FCS school like Ga Southern, Chattanooga, Furman etc far away from his Dad and the spotlight and hopefully manage to get some semblance of an education.

I don't think Bryce gives a crap about football anymore. You gotta love the game, or at least the potential money, to pay the price the game demands.

He said many times he has friends here, and loves it here.

And the sad thing is our fanbase has so many self-serving. judgmental, holier than thou, nitwits so eager to have Jerry Springer moments to vent their unjustified spite. Maybe BB was wise to leave this den of vipers who probably would have tried to lynch him if he fumbled just once or got stopped an inch short of a first down. There are days some folks here make me ashamed to be a Vols fan.

What's funny is BB hasn't uttered such venom at the UT but just the opposite. Clearly he has more class than the people who take every opportunity to beat him down.

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WVLT) -- Former blue-chip running back Bryce Brown says he still loves Tennessee and that it was his dad's decision that he transfer from Tennessee to Kansas State last year.
"I still go back to Tennessee often," Brown said. "I built great relationships there."

Brown was the top-ranked recruit in the country when Lane Kiffin recruited him to play for the Vols. But when Kiffin left for Southern California, Brown and his parents decided it was best that he move closer to his home of Wichita, Kan.
Brown met with new Tennessee coach Derek Dooley to inform him of his decision, and Dooley refused to grant him a release from his scholarship.
Brown recounted the meeting to reporters Saturday.
"[Dooley was] just making sure that this was really what I wanted to do," Brown said. "He told me he wished me the best of luck and [if Brown didn't want to transfer,] hey want me back.
"My family wanted me to come back and I supported that decision. I made that decision."
Brown says he benefitted from his time in Tennessee and doesn't regret his time in the Volunteer State.
"I learned alot from Coach Kiffin and his staff and the players there and even coach Dooley," Brown said.

You've got to feel for this kid (we have to remember he's still a kid), at least a little bit. His father obviously pulled him in this direction and for whatever reasons it's not working. He's seeing his future is jeopardy and doesn't know what to do. I think CDD tried to do good by him, but there wasn't much he could do for him when he's being influenced by his dad. Maybe he's here to just visit with CDD and get some 3rd party advice about what he should do.

Or he's here to hang with his girlfriend and friends and just wants to party a bit.

Jimmy Hyams is reporting that Bryce Brown is not on campus and is expected to pick Miami over UT.
