Well, I hope some of you idiots know that it's irgent not to post on BB's Facebook page again. He's getting irritated. He told me this when I posted on his Facebook page earlier, after I sent him 296 requests to be his friend. He accepted. We're friends. Be jealous.

Well I guess being persistent does pay off. Way to not take no for an answer, good job!

Where's ole "duck" boy on this one. Eveyone said Oku was waiting for Brown. I contend that Oku's commitment puts the pressure on Brown to sign with us based on the tandem punch that Kiffin has produced at USC. How many QUALITY backs did USC run this year? They would be a perfect combination for success. Contary to popular belief, I have always felt that we are thin at RB. Does anyone know who was the main recruiter for Oku?

Stan Drayton :)

I agree with the thinness...I never felt the hype around Creer, all hes shown is a few good runs and the ability to fumble. Hardesty was great last year for the most part, but is too prone to injury. And the jury is still out on Poole, but I doubt hes better than Oku or Brown.

Just getting one of these guys is a HUGE boost. Getting both? Thats just too much for me to handle, lol

We should not post comments on facebook pages as they are 18 year old kids who want a life outside of recruiting. Nothing wrong with becoming a friend as this alone shows support. Let BB make his decision. I think he is a vol.

LOST- I agree with your assessment. So does this count as a Fulmer recruit that we got lucky on or is this a signature CLK recruiting job?

I personally think that you have to put this one under Fulmer...if Drayton hadn't been let go, I don't think that Oku's commitment would have ever been in question.

Obviously, this is another suprise. Not that he chose UT but the timing. If we ASSUME Butler is still in the mix and many on this board have said Brown is a lock does this change Brown's decision or does it solidifiy it? Sorry, I asked another question.

At this point, the two do seem to be intertwined a bit, don't they?

I think this is what's freaking me out, that we have the possibilty of landing both of them. And, this is why it gives me hope for OC because all of the BIG signs have come under the radar. No matter what the boards say.

Congratulations on picking up Oku. I don't know too much about him since Oregon was never interested. But, it sounds like he's a quality back.

Brown could still sign with UT as well. However, I don't see the logic behind it "helping" the Brown situation. He already discounted the notion that UT will be a carbon copy of USC under Kiffin. I doubt he thinks that the addition of Oku was all that was needed to make those teams comparable.

I don't think the current USC example bodes very well for your argument either. USC did run several backs this year and all of them were big-time recruits. However, none of them produced very good numbers individually or over-all. USC dominated through the air with a veteran QB and great depth at WR. Their running game was mediocre at best.

USC dominated through the air ....yeah but they dominated in rushing too !! They were fairly balanced all year ...2965 passing yards 2472 rushing yards . I think Kiffin will immulate USC by using multiple backs with different styles....which is the going strategy in the NFL

At the same time, you've got to give Kiffin and Company credit for signing a guy after they let his contact go.

I'd credit Kiffin with an assist from Fulmer on Oku. How's that?

Also, the whole Brown discounted UT's talent comment... yada... yada... yada... is old and stale.

That's correct. And, using more of these guys in their college years only helps preserve them for the League. It's a total NFL development and placement system that's great for UT and for the players who sign with us.

Here is my guess on what happened. I am not like the other morons on here that like to play "insider". Most of those morons are just guys who call the coin toss a certain way, and everytime they call it right they never let you hear the end of it. . .all the while ignoring the times they got it wrong.

Unfortunately for them, this time they got it laughably wrong.

My hypothesis?

That smoke was INTENTIONALLY put out there to force Oku to "put up or shut up". . .and the strategy worked. We got us a prima donna.

We missed out on the other prima donna. Brown isn't coming here, he never was coming to Knoxville. Nothing he has said in ANY of his many interviews and write-ups have been particularly positive with regards to the Big Orange. His quotes have come across as polite, but that's about it. All the while he gushes over LSU and Oregon.

He has been very careful to mention that he is "still committed to UM", though. This leads me to think that he will ultimately sign with Miami, and has just wanted to enjoy some visits.

I would put his choices in this order:

Miami
Oregon
LSU
UT

I love the way you guys absolutely raved over how reliable your posters were. . .it was a fun thing to watch.

FWIW, I am GLAD he isn't coming to UT. I have no doubt that whoever gets Brown will be on probation before he leaves.

I just hope it isn't an SEC school. After the rumors of the goings on during his visit to LSU, I think the kid BELONGS with the thugs at Da U.

I'm a long time lurker here, and this is my 1st post. . .so flame away.

The update was that Bryce committed to coming back on a Tennessee based show that he knows covers NOTHING but UT after the signs.

I'm sorry if some were disappointed, but IMO, there's something to read into that. I never said I was going to be breaking the date that Jesus would come back. I said I had an update from a conversation I had with him earlier today.

Again, sorry if it wasn't up to your standards.

This is a little self promoting, isn't it. Kinda like Butler. This time you mention his name on this board. Based on this how do know that Bryce Brown ever committed or ever will do the interview. It is what it is and don't make it something that it isn't just to draw a crowd to your Show.

Talk about breaking the rules of the board.
