Bryce Brown (CLOSED)

Stewart has one year with 836 yards while Jamal had 1002 in that same season (last year).

The biggest difference is that Jamal has 9000 more over his other 8 years in the League. He's never had a year as bad a Stewart's only one / best year. Jamal ran for 1364 in his first season.

I'm trying to not be biased here, but Jamal has to get that call.

As a rookie, Jamal was far better than Stewart was as a rookie. Jamal was pretty close to being SB MVP in his rookie year. And he ran for over 2,000 yards in 2003.

If I could have one of the two backs, right this moment, I'd take Stewart.

But I'd take Jamal, in his prime, over Stewart on his best day, every time. There's not much comparison.

And, so as not to post off topic, I heard Bryce Brown named his goldfish "Peerless." Take it FWIW.

A lot of folks say he's lost some breakaway speed, but Jamal is still a beast! He still hits the line hard enough to crack some shoulders and can still wear down a defense.

If BB gets another goldfish he could consider "Jamal" as a name, especially if the new fish is chiseled and powerful. Just a suggestion. TIFWIW.

Since BB is an amateur why does it matter what shoe contract the Univ. that he attends has?

Fact - Studies show that football players appear to be "faster" when wearing Nike as opposed to when wearing Adidas. One study even showed that players wearing Nike were "much effing faster" than those wearing Adidas.

:lolabove: You never disappoint.

If he comes here or goes else where do you think hes in it for the long haul or is this just a quick stop for him?

alright folks, this bickering about what team has produced better RBs is kinda crazy. It's irrelevant, especially considering the fact that none of our old coaching staff remains from the previous running backs and our new RB coach has a very impressive history. So if you have to argue about it would prob be best to judge from Coach Kiffin's and Coach Gran's history.

Considering you have to be 3 years out of high school to be eligible for the draft, pretty much everyone is in it for the long haul. Unless you consider 3 years a quick stop

Also a fact, since I used to work with the BYU athletic department, Nike Vapors have a significantly higher rate of knee injuries. WRs and DBs like them because they are so light you don't even feel like you are wearing them, but after several of these severe knee injuries (computer guy so I don't know the details), most Mountain West schools won't let their players wear them.

So they may have a faster 40 time, but it doesn't do any good if they are on the sideline for 4-6 weeks.

BB will not go to Oregon. Sorry bud.

1. No exposure there
2. Oregon is a bunch of hippies out in bfe.
3. Lose to USC every year.

And when Oregon is doing decent... leave it to the good ole U of A to knock your start quarterback and hopes of winning the pac 10 out.

Haha That has to be my favorite expression of all time.

Back on topic, I think BB has a really good shot to come to UT. LSU is out of the picture, Oregon is, well, Oregon and Miami seems to have gone sour on him recently, although im sure an offer would be renewed if he wanted one.

To be fair, Jamal did not split time, while Stewart had to split carries with D. Williams.

Jamal didn't split time because when he left after his junior year he was freakin JAMAL LEWIS, #5 pick in the draft!!! He can carry the ball 40 times a game and still outrun the seconday . Most talented back we've had IMO since I began paying full attention to Tennessee football in '93 as a first grader. I mean the only reason we got to see the Henry/Stephens combo was due to Lewis tearing up his knee against Auburn. He was "The Man"

rather comical seeing someone around etsu calling another place "bfe."

Henry ran with more heart and determination than Jamal ever did.

I agree 100%. IMO Lewis was fine until he got hurt. The next season he coasted because he knew if he didn't get hurt he would be a top 10 pick. Not trying to defend his lack of effort his last year by any means, just think he was an unbelievable talent.
