I agree 100%. IMO Lewis was fine until he got hurt. The next season he coasted because he knew if he didn't get hurt he would be a top 10 pick. Not trying to defend his lack of effort his last year by any means, just think he was an unbelievable talent.

agreed, I was a big fan until his last year. Really disapointed in him. And Henry had to watch from the bench. :bad:

Lewis and Henry were both great running backs. Just not sure how relevant they are in regard to Brown.

Stewart, Johnson and Blount are relevant to Brown.

Ronnie Brown, Heath Evans, Kenny Irons, Brandon Jacobs, Deuce McAlister, Reggie Bush, LenDale White, ...etc are all relevant to him then as well.

Those are the RB's that have either been coached by Gran or played in Kiffin's offense. Theres probably even more.

It seems like the only advantage Oregon has that I can see is a more rushing based stat netting offense and better facilities.

You forgot Cadillac Williams

I agree. They are relevant to a degree. Though, it is yet to be seen how Gran, Kiffin and co. come together as a team. [Rich Rod went to Michigan as a hot new coach with a good history and the Wolverines are still looking like a project.]

I think that a solid record putting RBs in the NFL recently, with the current staff, is a positive. Also, the stability of the program and proven success running under Kelly are desirable for RBs as well. A positive outlook for the 2009 season and a monster 2010 recruiting class in the works. There are many positives about Oregon if you're not just trying to ignore as many of them as possible.

Wheaton doesn't know what a position coach does, so your argument is not relevant to him.

He's still trying to forget the donald duck on the side of the helmet years.

Guys, not that this debate isn't interesting, and no, I'm not elaborating on this, but I think you are arguing with this guy for no reason.

Why was the first post regarding BB back in December where the poster was talking about how he was talking to BB on FB deleted... Conspiracy??

Did anyone notice that?

It happened. Just under different coaches.

At UT, Brown will play for the coaches who coached these Running Backs.

Do you comprehend that?

Geez this is a stupid argument.

Mine? Or, this whole 'do-loop' about coaches and running backs?

It's like everything Wheaton says is ultimately qualified by the fact that our coaches didn't coach at UT last year. Thus (by his reasoning), nothing they've done in the past is predictive of their future.

Yet, at the same time, everything last year's UT coaches did is predictive of what our team will do this year.

It's totally lame reasoning that just keeps repeating itself. But, it just won't go away.
