BB will not go to Oregon. Sorry bud.

1. No exposure there
2. Oregon is a bunch of hippies out in bfe.
3. Lose to USC every year.

And when Oregon is doing decent... leave it to the good ole U of A to knock your start quarterback and hopes of winning the pac 10 out.

Oregon's a great school. I like it...there's just no comparison, thus far, when it comes to putting kids in the league.

I disagree. When it comes to putting running backs in the league, Oregon compares similarly if not better, especially recently.

Maybe he won't. Maybe he will. We'll see.

What RB's has Oregon put in the NFL? You mean the great Ruben Droghns, or Maurice Morris?

Both UT and Oregon haven't done much with putting RB's in the NFL. They are indeed similar

Yeah. I'm not saying that UT would be bad for Brown as an RB. More just that there isn't a bad-for-NFL argument against Oregon.

There isn't a "bad-for-NFL" argument against Arkansas St.

The question is "best-for-NFL" argument. That is to play in the best conference (by far) and the conference that has the most national TV exposure/opportunities. The Pac 10 has a regional deal with ABC and FoxSports. They on rare occasion pick up an ESPN slot. The SEC has a NATIONAL contract with CBS, a new national contract with ESPN replacing the Big 10 for the midday games, and STILL plays regionally on FSN.

If he's a Duck then the whole nation will be interested when he plays USC and maybe the bowl game. If he's a Vol then he'll always have one OOC game with national significance plus UGA, Bama, LSU, Aub, and UF... with other programs on the rise.

If the question is exposure and the choices are Oregon and UT then UT is the rational choice by a pretty wide margin.

I think he's hanging his hat on Onterio Smith and Jonathan Stewart...I can't think of any others

If BB is working on a point system to make a decision then regardless of how many points he may give Oregon they could not compensate for UT being in the SEC.

Seriously? Is there a question as to who has put the better backs in the NFL between Oregon and Tennessee?

Seriously? I need to know if this is a joke or not. If you are serious please inform me to your list of backs in the NFL from Oregon. Please include once famous Onterio as a Vol and Duck....ummmm....actually no, you can have him. List Please. But I am hoping this is a joke of some sort, a sarcastic banter.

S.I. has him leaning towards LSU, but they are real concerned with the fact that his girlfriend goes to UT.

How does Oku's decision weigh on the situation now? Could UT possibly end up with both as was suggested earlier? or will Oku's signing detour Brown?

Guess we will wait and see. I like clips I have seen of Oku very much. Looks kind R. Bushy..

I don't know how they could put any serious research into this and come to that conclusion...

He had some decent things to say about them right after his visit...and that was his most recent visit...but he has pretty much said the same things after all of his visits...

It's like SI looked at the most recently successful team on his list and said "That's the one he must be leaning to"

SI doesn't have him leaning towards LSU. That was posted by a LSU fan.

Yet another piece of evidence that everyone knows where to post... right here on the real leader's board.

LSU is so far out of it.

I'm a little surprised no U trolls have posted here, but their fan base is so demoralized that could explain part of it. Yet, if we have an Oregon troll, I don't think the U's base has ever been as weak and pathetic as is the Ducks' (it's Oregon, they grow wheat and climb rocks instead of worshipping football as we do in the south, I guess... who knows?), so there must be some U fans out there. In South Florida, with the Dolphins winning again, the U may never take back the hearts and minds of the region. I like Randy Shannon, but he's living in Phins country now... through and through.

That could prove to be a great recruiting ground for our new staff next year when as they continue to build support around BB and the rest of the team.

so i asked a mini poll question in here a while back

Which will happen first?
A. BB will make his announcement
B. We will get our next 2010 committ

Everyone that answered said B.......... are we still sticking to that?

Hopefully B since we know BB isn't announcing till the 16th and I would like as many 2010 recruit commits possible!

Honestly, if he wants to go to the school that produces NFL RBs, he will be headed to Miami. They have more good RBs in the NFL than Oregon or UT, and it's not even close at this point. Gore, McGahee, James, Portis, Davenport. I think Brown will end up at UT, but it will not be because the the Vols are better than the other schools at sending RBs to the NFL...

Trump card....

Some other teams seem to have lost a little interest, coupled with reports from multiple "credible" sources that Bryce has already made up his mind to enroll at Knoxville.
