I gave up my fair share of bombs and also struck out my fair share. I never pumped my fist or stared anyone back to the dugout.

With that said, I don't care what transpired or how well Bonus Baby is hitting. He done that to me, he would be getting coloring books for Christmas for the rest of his life. Bush league.

tell that to kirk gibson, sammy sosa.. or to abert p, after his little celebration this weekend....

It's a little different when you've hit a home run to win a game (especially one in the World Series) versus hitting a home run in single A ball when you're losing in the sixth inning.

I just refuse to accept the fact that it's an okay practice to show someone up. It is bush league. Always has been and always will be.

You hit a walkoff in the World Series, you feel free to celebrate.

Harper hit a bomb off a future State Farm employee in the minor friggin leagues.

So it is a case to case basis?

It was a walk-off homerun. I've seen people do way more than a little shimmy before they get to home after hitting a walk-off

That was way more than a little shimmy and he is better than that.

He did a full-on Neon Deon highstep from about 20 feet out.

Unwritten rule of baseball. You don't pull that kind of bull****.

oh no an unwritten rule

it's just my belief the pitcher should work on getting better. If he's able to hit someone in the head then he should be good enough to keep the ball in the park

I just refuse to accept the fact that it's an okay practice to show someone up.

in every sport or just this one

Doesn't make it any less bushleague.

Albert's highstep was pretty absurd.

ok, bryce is what? 18, 19.. you have grown men do it, nothings said or no threads are started, but once a kid does it. you got jealous wanna be's all up in arms. he's a kid living his dream, let him be young, cocky,( like we all once or are ) and enjoy it.

Worry about getting better during the offseason. You immediately take care of the clown that does that kind of stuff.

Good grief, you have to be kidding. The guy was hitting .262 and finally was breaking out of the slump. It's reason for him to let loose a bit.

Then that had to be Deon's most subtle highstep ever.

What is the difference, besides the sport, in LaMichael James acting like an ass after a touchdown and this? - to Maehl

Joe Carter is a great example. He lived a dream every little boy has. I have no problem with him jumping around like a little kid. I'm certain Mitch Williams doesn't either.

Kirk could barely walk. He wins a WS game. Not a pitcher in the game would argue that.

I didn't see Albert's celebration, so I'll not comment.

then enjoy being on the same level as the act you claim to hate. Absolutely no better and doing something that could intentionally hurt another player isn't just bush league- it could be criminal

suck it up and get them next time is a better lesson and more satisfying as an athlete

You're going to be disappointed when you see it. It was the equivalent of jumping into home plate to meet your teammates after hitting a walk-off HR

Drilling somebody in the back will leave a nice bruise and a nice reminder of why not to conduct yourself like an ass.

I'm pretty sure you didn't read my earlier posts about it.

It is bush league on his part and the pitchers part.

Who isn't cocky at 18?

Still yet, just cause you are young doesn't mean you can't show some class, he has yet to prove he has any thus far.

He has a ton of growing up to do.

and shows that you're not good enough to take him on in the game so you throw at his body. That's below bush league
