Drilling somebody in the back will leave a nice bruise and a nice reminder of why not to conduct yourself like an ass.

and it will prolly lead to the pitcher eating his teeth, via basball, bat, or a fist... pick you poison...

and shows that you're not good enough to take him on in the game so you throw at his body. That's below bush league

If you say so. I think almost anyone that has played the game at the high school level or above would beg to differ.

I played many games at that level and above without resorting to taking someone out of the game on purpose. Did I see it done? Sure but not by me

of course that wasn't in baseball because that game is too difficult with all the unwritten rules you have to follow

then enjoy being on the same level as the act you claim to hate. Absolutely no better and doing something that could intentionally hurt another player isn't just bush league- it could be criminal

suck it up and get them next time is a better lesson and more satisfying as an athlete

I think putting one in his ribs is perfectly fine in this situation.

All jokes aside, no matter what you keep the ball below the shoulders.

Yeah. The point of drilling somebody like that isn't to seriously injure them or anything.

I'm pretty sure you didn't read my earlier posts about it.

It is bush league on his part and the pitchers part.

Who isn't cocky at 18?

Still yet, just cause you are young doesn't mean you can't show some class, he has yet to prove he has any thus far.

He has a ton of growing up to do.[/QUOTE ]
i know what your saying but, why should he show class? he can watch sportscenter and see guys making way more than he is, not show any class

Not a late hit. But I make for dang sure he wakes up tomorrow with extra ice packs.

if it's in the game that's fine but a late hit and throwing at a batter are both outside the rules right?

Yeah. The point of drilling somebody like that isn't to seriously injure them or anything.

yet it's definitely a possibility you aren't considering

Nobody is going to get seriously injured by getting hit in the torso.

come on, I'm sure all those greats from the past were not good enough. it's part of the game, and you know it.

Which is a direct result of a bunch of pansy pitchers and look at me guys not respecting the game.

It trickles down.

you have no idea where the ball will definitely end up. Hands and arms are also right there and could also get hit. Trying to predict a person's response to a ball coming at them is iffy at best

Which can be completely avoided by not blowing kisses and acting like a clown.

Play the game the right way and everyone wins.

This woulda been a situation for the "double deuce" sign. Or, as others preferred, dropping the middle finger.

how about if he was so offended by the batters actions he confronted him immediately after he did it? Seems kinda silly to wait 2-3 more innings to tell the guy you're mad

It's not worth trying to explain to him. He'll keep taking you around in circles.

Getting butthurt cause a guy took you deep and then throwing a 95 mph heater at him is not on the same level.

He showed the guy up but at the same time, he did what a lot of guys do, which is admire their work, the pitcher stalked him around the basepaths, probably popping off at the mouth.

They both acted like they deserve to be in single A ball.

I understand your point but it's just dumb. If I got dunked on I'm not taking the guy's legs out next time down the court. Man up or don't do it at all. Taking him out with a ball from 60' doesn't seem to fit that
