Don’t need to, the fact that he put a black eye on the football program at all is a negative in my book. If this was an Alabama player we’d all be calling him a terrorist and demanding the SEC or NCAA jump in so spare me on logistics.

Just speak for yourself. I think most of us on here are smart enough to understand this isn't an SEC/NCAA issue.

Is that for real?

I always figured those snakes reserved the right to insert themselves into any situation they desire.

Well there is no violation to my knowledge of their bylaws. The only violation which would result in a player not being able to ever play again for the NCAA is actually physically assaulting someone. I’m sure there are other things but that is the main one where they a barred from the NCAA.

Honestly nobody was hurt in the incident, people say dumb stuff when they're mad. Make him sit out a game and some community service for the gate he broke and a strong talkin to about how dumb he was for getting himself in a drama filled situation and move on.

Football players should not be allowed to date during the season and the only contact with women they should have is with their moms' sisters and Grandmothers.

They tried this at alabama then found out sisters where fair game! Lol

no charges or media attention since it is normal occurrence

Off season idiots! Bringing the Fulmer Cup back to Rocky Top! We Back!

Not that you could tell it but the announcers last night mentioned that several DL for Florida had to sit out for some disciplinary reason. With only 10 sacks, you could tell Florida's DL was hurting bad.

Thaxton, Georgia and Thompson with legal issues all within a year. Another transfer yesterday.

Culture problems? Chaos in Knoxville? Pruitt lost control?

I think the answer to all of those questions is NO. But I’ve spent months reading about this being applied to Florida for the same exact issues.

These players who get accused are innocent until proven guilty. Young men do dumb things. No program is immune to players making bad choices.

Every single player that has been merely accused, not charged, but accused at UF has been kicked off the team, due in large part to outside pressure. I think taking away Thompson’s presumption of innocence and booting him off the team would be a bad precedent, just like I’m concerned about some of the guys UF let go without any charges even being filed, let alone any conviction.

Will be interesting to see how Pruitt and the University handle this.
