Based on what has been said here... unless there is more... this should be dropped. UT should get him some counseling. That should be the end of it.No, I’m just not trying to discount witness testimonies like everyone else on here in order to completely clear a football player.
How about them just not saying anything until the facts are in? No need for 41 pages of negative speculation posts in less than one day.Seems like any time anything happens there's a strong minority of people who cannot rest until they've done there best to prosecute the case with a guilty verdict on here. Count them up. Heck, a couple years ago people made a case Middleton should be in prison and never allowed to play again and Kenneth George too. How about you try and stay positive or at least shut up if you can't be positive and actually let the REAL authorities and deciders work it out with the REAL facts and options. Go Vols!
Another transfer yesterday. Culture problems? Chaos in Knoxville? Pruitt lost control? I think the answer to all of those questions is NO. But I’ve spent months reading about this being applied to Florida for the same exact issues.
These players who get accused are innocent until proven guilty. Young men do dumb things. No program is immune to players making bad choices.
Every single player that has been merely accused, not charged, but accused at UF has been kicked off the team, due in large part to outside pressure. I think taking away Thompson’s presumption of innocence and booting him off the team would be a bad precedent, just like I’m concerned about some of the guys UF let go without any charges even being filed, let alone any conviction.
Will be interesting to see how Pruitt and the University handle this.
