Bryce Young game status?

If Saban plays Young vs TN and he happens to get that shoulder hurt again, that’s the end of his Bama career. He’ll be done for the season.

I think the smart thing for Saban to do is go with the backup, give Young a couple more weeks (bye & LSU) before he really needs him. Alabama even with 1 loss is automatic CFB playoff provided they win the conference. They have to beat State & Ole Miss to get to Ga.

Let me be clear. If Tillman plays you best believe Alabama players will test his ankle. Twist it under the pile, push him every chance they get. So hitting there qb on the shoulder and instead of pulling up when you have a chance to make contact isn't playing dirty. It's football so please stop with the soft SH☆☆ people. Why do you think coaches don't like to announce injuries.

Hopefully we learn to stop those slants between now and then
That route across the middle is their bread and butter and gets them a td quite often. Hope the defense can wise up and block a few passes or disrupt the scheme. If we take away their passing game or ding it , we can win the game.

I can’t imagine that if his shoulder is sprained that it wouldn’t hurt to throw, which would lead to shorter, easier throws with less pace and maybe some interceptions. If he isn’t throwing yet, I’m sure he won’t be 100% by next Saturday.

I basically got the same injury (fell the exact same way) trying to score in a rugby match. Don't know if mine was sprained or separated since I never went to a doc, but it hurt bad enough for me to take myself out of the match about 10 minutes later. One of the few injuries that made me miss a match the next week. Two weeks later I attempted to play, and it still hurt like h*ll. If his is hurt anywhere near what mine was I can't imagine him playing, much less being able to throw the ball with any velocity. I guarantee one hard fall on that shoulder and his back-up will be in the game. I really doubt they risk it with him.

I played alright, and I never tried to injure another player with an intentional penalty, which is both stupid and classless.
I didn't say try to injure anyone. But if a player is injured you always attack that injury in any sport. Any coach at any level will say the same thing. Maybe you should take up painting or something.

If he does play Heupel will stack the box and test his arm early. Although, I really doubt he plays. Even if they shoot him full of Cortisone, they are only asking for him to unknowingly damage that shoulder further.

I had a Grade 3 AC separation in my 20s while I was still young, dumb and a college athlete. I went the non surgery route, which meant I didn’t regain total mobility in the shoulder, but recovery time was shorter.

No way I could have thrown a football in 2 weeks. However, I wasn’t using anything for the pain.

AC is basically what attaches your collar bone to your shoulder blade (I’m not any type of medical professional, if someone who is has a better explanation, I yield). So basically, things feel not so bad until you get your hand above your shoulder. He could probably come in, but no way he’s chucking the ball down field.

Unless it was super low grade, I don’t see him playing.

Hit him every play and if you have to earn a personal foul penalty early do it. Hit that shoulder every play all game long.

Take it from someone who doesn't have a shoulder anymore..... (mine's not dominant, thankfully)

I'm not a fan of injuring players, but.... if it's hurt and he decides to play? That's his decision

Hit it often. Hit it hard.

He'll quit. He's eyeing the NFL......
