Bryce Young game status?

It’s entirely different, and fairly simple to distinguish.

One is strategically taking advantage of athletic superiority; one is fear/scarcity-based perception that leads to low-class decision making and unethical behavior.

The stronger athletes act like it.
How is hitting someone in a sore spot fear if said person makes the decision to play? It's a strategy. If they are too hurt to play, they can stay off the field.

Once again a VolNation poster shows the hardest sport they've ever competed in is the two hand Coca Cola lift.

It's literally no different than picking on a weak corner in the passing game. Your post is lame.
Picking on a weak corner is TOTALLY different from deliberately trying to exacerbate the injury of a qb. This can cause long lasting medical issues for a player. Trying to injure someone is assault in any context. It has no place in sports. Blitz him, make him rush his throws, make him worried about getting injured, but dont deliberately reinjure him.

Depends.

If the player making the hit is using sound fundamentals and merely making a hit that they know will stop the player/ball/progress forward, and that happens to mean an injured body part is involved, it’s part of the game.

If the player making the hit doesn’t believe in his or his team’s ability to squarely win the game without resorting to tactics such as intentionally injuring a fellow athlete with the objective of removing him from the game, this is human psychology 101. You don’t believe in your ability to win without intentionally injuring someone. There will absolutely always be humans who adopt this mindset as long as the species is alive.

There will also always be those like my son and many others who excel on sheer passion combined with athleticism and sports IQ. Given the choice (which we all have), I’m proud to see he’s opted for the latter. 😉

Maybe we should just teach our players to always go for the knees to tackle? Might be a penalty but worth it to take out the best players. They make a decision to play. They get hurt it is their own fault for coming onto the field.
But if teams do that to Hooker it would be a problem.

Again, taking advantage of a weakness is not a "deliberate attempt to injure", but you're welcome to keep typing books on how you think it's dirty.

I bet he doesn’t play. If it was his non throwing arm then maybe. I will be shocked if he does play. The strain on the throwing shoulder is intense. If it’s not 100% then no way he risks it. That being said, sprains don’t heal in 2 weeks

Outside of the actual injury part, it's going to come down to if Saban thinks a busted up Young is better than Milroe.

If he is injured to the point as to where he cannot take a hit then he shouldn't be playing. It's not a game of two hand touch or flag football.

AC sprain is a pain tolerance thing for the most part. Hard to make it worse but will hurt like heck.

Likely gets injection for pain and goes but that’s pure conjecture on my part.
One bad hit in a game and it’s ALOT worse. This is one of those injuries that has your mind saying one thing but your body telling you another. I have no idea what decision they will make but if it isn’t 100% I wouldn’t chance it.

I agree, and Im not saying dont hit him. Not even saying avoid hitting his shoulder. Just saying you dont deliberately go after his shoulder with the intent of further injuring him. Go after him as you would any qb.

For sure IF he is in there, we should blitz intermittently early to see how strong and accurate a healing or medicated shoulder really is. Unless it was a really really mild sprain I cannot imagine him running it like he normally does with reinjury PROBABLY pretty easy to induce. Hit him hard and hit him clean and let the game play out. Early I might put more speed rushers out there to get to him whether he his handing off or throwing. Might have to give up a few runs up the gut in the process and have to revert to normal game plan, but should have some answers by then. I do fear Gibbs especially.

He'll play vs TN, 100%. He was rested because Bama knew they could beat Jimbo at home without him.
Totally false take.
With the fighting between Jimbo and Nick ,
No way Nick takes any chances.
Even if that’s the thinking going in, no way he doesn’t come in after all the turnovers by QB 2 and A&M keeping it close!

According to their fans he is "vernable"
From their board
We haven't done well with injured qbs coming back in a big game. See LSU, Clemson. He probably will not be 100% if he does play. UT knows he has a vernable shoulder. The undisciplined play on our part, crowd noise and the momentum they have. It will take our best effort as a whole to light up the cigars this time.

Let me be clear. If Tillman plays you best believe Alabama players will test his ankle. Twist it under the pile, push him every chance they get. So hitting there qb on the shoulder and instead of pulling up when you have a chance to make contact isn't playing dirty. It's football so please stop with the soft SH☆☆ people. Why do you think coaches don't like to announce injuries.

Coaches don’t announce injuries so the other team doesn’t know if they should prepare for them or not. Your take on this whole thing is awful. That’s why @VolGirl05 is schooling you in football ethics right now.
