Buc-ee's

If there's not one in place or in the works, I could see one working around the Savannah
/Pooler area on I-95, or further south around Camden Co (GA)/Nassau Co (FL).

Dear God no. Traffic already sucks there. Don't need the Huddle House of gas stations there.

Put that s*** in FL.

My brother and his family stopped by the Crossville store and he wasn't that impressed. He brought us some Beaver Nuggets and I have to admit I wasn't that impressed.

They taste like Cracker Jacks without the peanuts.

You'd think people could understand the concept of "Buckey", but then again, why they want to spell that in such a stupid way?

Oh, and gas station food is mediocre. Jerky costs more than Filet Mignon. Beaver nuggets give you diabeetus. So there.

🤣 That's for the beaver nuggets

I've yet to go to one. I know of the one in Sevierville opening here in about a month. I won't go down there just to go to Buc-ees,but I will go there sometime to see what's it all about and know what everyone has been going on about. I don't have huge expectations, but it sounds like a neat set-up if you're traveling.

I've visiited the Buc-ee's in Crossvile twice. Amazed by the variety of sandwiches & other eats, though I've yet to order. Besides the huge number of gas pumps, the variety of "tourist stuff" is interesting. I've never seen cleaner public rest rooms!
Blew me away...

FRESH BRISKET ON THE BOARD!!!View attachment 552892
$10.50 🙄

Their chopped brisket sandwich is ok but $7.50 would have been more than fair for an 8 oz sandwich and a drink. Buc-ee's needs to get their heart right. *Crossville, TN location.
That’s close to what I pay for a combo at ANY fast food restaurant here in the Days of Brandon FWIW. And the brisket actually TASTES GOOD

My point:

If you're going to build this behemoth of a gas station, with 100 pumps and basically a Stuckeys, a BBQ joint, a Dollar General, and 100 commodes, give the people a break on the food/drink prices. It ain't Dollywood!

Usua

l with their sandwiches I don’t need fries. Try the Texas Burrito sometime. You will not need to eat again for quite a while
I got the Philly cheese-steak burrito 1 time and it was good but not for $11- $12.

You said a fast food combo earlier. $10.50 would have been more reasonable if it came with fries, maybe even chips, but in Crossville Tennessee, $10.50 for a "fastfood" BBQ sandwich and fountain drink is a little steep (especially if you have a family of 4).

***It's good but it's still just grab n go sandwiches, no dining room or waitresses. I don't think they even have meat smokers onsite. That's why I'm whiney about the food prices.
