Bush most unpopular President in modern history

Polls are biased. Its like polling Bammers on if the Vols would win a National Championship, your not gonna get a fair response. This is the reason the American people believe that Bush is a horrible president, because of these biased polls. If you really want to see if the American people favor the war and the president then poll us all. Still even then you are gonna have people that have NO political background giving answers and that right there is still a reason to believe that polls are biased. So I guess basically, polls are biased based on ignorance.

These polls are a statistical sample with a margin of error usually around 3-5%. They usually involve a sample size of a thousand of people or more. IMO its more accurate then you believe.

Rep. or Dem. seem to have been greatly mislead by our bad intelligence causing them to vote pro war. Do you think Bush really thought they had WMDs or he just made it look that way and used it as a vehicle to go to war?

hillary voted for it. don't tell me bill didn't see the same intelligence that bush did. Bill himself said he believed that saddam had WMD.

Funny to me as an average joe that the guy who was elected president over Al Gore chads and all, brother govonor in the deciding state and all, who (internet creator Gore)is to be veiwed as such a joke now has a basement level approval rating. Now there many not be exactly a winfall of em, but it sounds like to me an uneducated unsophisticated joe that some that voted in confidence...nay smugness and arrogance for Bush jr are taking a step back and sayin.....uhhhhhh oops. Show of hands?

Every recount, including those done by the democrats after the election showed bush won florida. Recall that the military absentee ballots hadn't come in completely by the time of the first count, and those were 80% bush. Also let's remember the woman in charge of the recount was a democrat.

Have you ever heard of being educated beyond you own intelligence?

I don't think the guy is stupid, just arrogant. I once saw an interview with bush senior and bush senior mentioned bush jr never asked him for advice. You have a huge resource (no matter what you think about bush seniors presidency) and you dont use it? I don't get it.

great. tell me all about what 3%-5% margin of error actually means.

I can tell you for sure that it never addresses the quality of the question being asked.

Bill Clinton exeptional man
John Kerry exeptional man
George Bush special man
Clinton - no doubt exceptional in many ways

Kerry - trumped up war record, married rich women for a living, career politician with the moxy of a Galapagos turtle. Couldn't beat an incumbent who truly deserved to lose.

Bush - incumbent who truly deserved to lose because he lost sight of the fiscal focus of the conservative crowd in the US.

At this point, I don't think you can question Bush's unpopularity or the job he's doing, it's fairly obvious. My question would be, why do some of you still defend the guy the way you do? Other than just blind loyalty to your party, I can't seem to find an educated reason for it.

I think referring to someone's "popularity" is a rather dim way of analyzing how well they are doing their job.

don't take my defense of the conservative movement in America and against the liberals as support for the Bush admin. Regardless of the admin's track record, I still prefer them over the alternatives that were presented and certainly prefer the Republican worldview over Hillary, Obama, et al.

I think we have gone over this somewhat before. I don't think most people think he has been very effective or communicates his ideas very well. But even the republicans(conservatives) that are not a big fan of his, like me, like the incessant drooling and nit picking done by his detractors even less. The country is in pretty good shape.

Its a pretty simple question they ask. "Do you approve or disapprove of the job the President is doing?"

I don't think that's an issue.
