Bush most unpopular President in modern history

Just is. It says nothing about the shape the country is in. So in your view the country is in bad shape anytime we have military personnel anywhere dying?
In a war we should not be in. YES If it was Afgan. I would not like it but I would understand.

You would, so the terrorists killing US soliders in Afghan would be entirely different than the ones killing them now? You would understand what?

I would not feel like soldiers lives were needlessly put in danger in Afgan. I respect the soldiers in Iraq just not the desision makers that put them there.

Its a pretty simple question they ask. "Do you approve or disapprove of the job the President is doing?"

I don't think that's an issue.
Which is an atrocious question, with no room in between. It's clearly limited in it's ability to really talk about how people feel about the JOB the president's doing. It's absurdly party line driven and speaks more to the current economic sitation of the individual being polled. Finally, we know nothing of the people being polled.

And this is where I strongly disagree..

The economy is booming, home ownership is at record highs, and unemployment is at record lows. Take out iraq (which i'm not saying isn't relavant) and this country is the strongest it has ever been and it's residents are the best off they have ever been.

I don't approve of the job the president is doing. Frankly i think he has made many stupid stupid mistakes. I still wouldn't rather have kerry or hillary as president.

Ask people in Baton Rouge how well the goverment handled the floods.
We constantly hear about how it was poorly handled. Can you tell me about how poorly it was handled and what some alternative steps might have been?

The man was elected, that election gave him permission to do all he has done. He said he was going to spend his new found political capital and that is precisely what he did. Spend evry last bit of it. He had the courage of his convictions and stuck to them. We got what we elected.

President Bush genuinely believes he is right.

I hope we can make a better choice next time.

Because they would be fighting an entirely different group of people in Afghan?

If you want to blame someone blame the governor and the mayor who refused to allow the military to take over until the situation got out of control. Within 24 hours of the military being called in people were getting fed, evacuated, and getting help.

Home ownership at record highs?????Better analyze that a little better. More foreclosures than ever too.More consumer debt than ever before. More debt that can't be paid off as well. And the real estate market is looking at a serious downtrend. Banks are beginning to tighten down, like never before, on mortgages. There is over 3 trillion in VM's due by end of summer. Unemployment figures are misleading at best. Many have had to take lesser jobs because their "chosen" profession were conducting massive layoffs

Numbers are useful until they don't match up to your opinions, huh?
