not trying to be liked or disliked, i just don't understand all the love for jones yet. it feels like the same people that were drinking the doolaid. i didn't get it either. do i want jones to be the greatest coach in UT history hell yeah. do i want him to win 10 titles and own bama hell yeah. do i want him to pull in this great class you are all talking about hell yes. where are the FACTS to support this. i want what you want, i just don't see it happening right now.

After the last two coaches, why not show love for Jones. He has already changed the attitude about Tennessee's football program and has a better won-loss record than either of those two coaches prior to their arrival to Tennessee. Most of the fans already see the difference as do the players and high school coaches. One must remember that a positive ATTITUDE is the most important requirement for success. I believe we are in much better hands now than at any time in the last ten years. Not only has he changed the attitude around here, he has coached and produced NFL players at his other coaching stops from recruiting classes which have not been rated as highly as our classes during the last ten years. I see no reason why we should not be excited about the future of our football program under coach Jones.

I certainly hope so. no big commits so far, but it's not surprising considering the short amount of time he's had on the job.

He hasn't had time to write even the first chapter in his UT story yet! There are no facts to provide because he hasn't been here long enough to prove anything.

What everyone is saying is that you are pi$$sing and moaning when, in fact, there isn't ANYTHING to pi$$ and moan about yet. So please just stfu until you have a reason to be negative. If in 2 yrs things still look the same then by all means, come on here and spew your negativity because at least then you may have a valid point. As of right now, all you're doing is bringing the program and the rest of the fanbase that are on this message board down.

Clear enough???

I'm all in on CBJ but I still resist getting my hopes up for signing day. I think we walk away with a solid but average class of recruits, I think we might get maybe one big recruit that we are trying for now. Other than that I think our ranking fluctuates a little either way.

i guess this is where we differ. he is going to need some great players to help out especially after next year. vandy is out recruiting us. that should say it all.

Malzahn sure is undoing what Chizik did - very quickly. They are vaulting up in Rivals. Meanwhile, we just keep making excuses for Butchy. Newsflash - AU won only three games. Let's face it - we hired a dud.

the reason i'm down alittle on jones is the 2 and 3 star players that he is reeling in right now. i know it is early and i know he got a late start after taking over. i guess i was just hoping the guy would tear it up and it hasn't happened yet. looks alot like cincy recruiting in my opinion and to me that is a downer. it will be another year we will fall farther behind vandy. just another downer that skipper swithched to arky. i guess that recruiting doesn't matter much though.

Not all 2 or 3 stars are that bad it seems. HUH! Interesting!

They also won the NC a couple years ago. That fact helped there recruiting too.
