Davis is the right fit at UT. He could take the talent that we already have in house and make them a better on the field team in a short period of time. He has been able to bring in NFL-caliber talent everywhere he has been and has ties throughout the entire southeastern United States. He is a program builder and his record as such is verifiable. There is no gamble in regards to whether our program will improve or not. He is money in the bank.
Be prepared for one of these in about 4 years if he's hired.
If you coach goes on record as saying "...there are 3 reasons why I think now is a good time to speak up. First, the NCAA hearing is over!" you know you're effed.
Coach Butch Davis discusses the University of North Carolina situation - YouTube
Nice find. Watching it now.
This thing is hilarious. I had not seen it before.
"Let me touch on the tutoring issue. Let me touch on the parking ticket issue. Let's turn to the private phone records issue. Did I know? No. Did I wish I had known? Yes." When a person makes statements like that, they are either a bald-faced liar or completely clueless.
Would rather have Davis than Golden
If UT hired Al Golden then I will then know UT does not care about its football program....Golden couldn't lace Davis's boots as far as coaching goes...Golden has done NOTHING...I can't express that enough....Plus when Fulmer was fired UT went after Davis hard and heavy but he turned us down.
