Davis is the right fit at UT. He could take the talent that we already have in house and make them a better on the field team in a short period of time. He has been able to bring in NFL-caliber talent everywhere he has been and has ties throughout the entire southeastern United States. He is a program builder and his record as such is verifiable. There is no gamble in regards to whether our program will improve or not. He is money in the bank.

Why is Davis not getting more attention?

There was a time I wanted him as replacement before his troubles at UNC but now hearing he has been cleared moves him back into my top 2. He is going to win where ever he lands.

He is also available now. Seems I heard somewhere that they were targeting a coach who was otherwise unengaged at the moment.

Posts 201- 203 have links explaining alot about Butch.
I also saw a poll and 94% of UNC fans did not want to fire him. UNC fired him as a self sanctioning action before all the facts were in.

I think he may be the best fit for that we need....hc experience, recruiting boss and tough attitude....just afraid hart will continue to drag his feet...

After giving it a lot of thought, Davis might just be the right fit We have been looking for...He's an excellent recruiter and has inroads to Florida and Georgia...Plus he's improved every team he's coached "Except the Browns" I don't count them because god himself couldn't right that ship.

If UT hired Al Golden then I will then know UT does not care about its football program....Golden couldn't lace Davis's boots as far as coaching goes...Golden has done NOTHING...I can't express that enough....Plus when Fulmer was fired UT went after Davis hard and heavy but he turned us down.
