twisted and treated spitefully.
bigots.
As for you my friend, I suggest you learn to not throw tired and snide bigot infested insults without a hint of knowledge about the actual history behind what you're insulting.
ignorant of the history of the term.
when fueled by hate, one tends to be blind to a great many things, including their own shortcomings.
charged and insensitive statements on this forum.
polarizing.
Back in the day before integration, Grambling fielded teams that would have beat the USCw, Alabamas, Tennessees, an such of the time. But nobody of that ilk would play them. After integration, Black talent went to where they got greater exposure for being drafted. Plus the elite colleges that began siphoning Black talent made it clear to the elite they were missing out on highly skilled players that made a difefrence between winning and losing. Today, these historically Black schools simply don't attract the talent they did many years ago. Frankly, I wish the Black talent would return to those historically Black schools. Well, why not? Entry requirements are too high. No joke, these schools take their education mission seriously. In some cases they're more stringent than Vanderbilt.
wow. lots of judgment, accusation, and vitriol there.
lest i further polarize, let me keep it simple:
i'm not your friend.
you don't know me, and you don't have a clue whether i'm a bigot, what my background is, or even what race i am.
on the other hand i have seen more than enough to conclude that you are a fool.
tl;drLike many things, original intent gets twisted and treated spitefully. Affirmative action's original intent was to end the blatant discrimination against minorities and women. It got twisted into enrolling and hiring people whether they qualified or not. If serious efforts had been made to correct the sustaining funding, equipment, and other imparities between inner city and white schools, products exiting inner city schools would have been better qualified. Affirmative Action attack the problem without a serious long term plan and made a bad situation worse. Unfortunately, in America, we have a tendency to look for quick fixes. Most real change requires time, patience, genuine effort, and cooperation of all stake holders, and the will to persistence despite resistance of people bigots. Now, don't feel I'm attacking you personally. Every society whether it is America, Congo, China, Russia, England, or whatever has bigots. No country is immune of this sad human trait.
Ask the Tibetans, the Bashkirs, the Armenians, the Scots, and the list goes on.
As for you my friend, I suggest you learn to not throw tired and snide bigot infested insults without a hint of knowledge about the actual history behind what you're insulting. It's like when people throw around the term redneck, they don't really know what they're talking about because they're ignorant of the history of the term. But when fueled by hate, one tends to be blind to a great many things, including their own shortcomings.
I think you're joking but I posted this because I've seen so many charged and insensitive statements on this forum. I think it's polarizing. In today's dangerous world, we Americans are the object of a lot of hatred. We need to stand together as we never have before.
Looking at the Butch Jones staff at Cincinnati, there was only one minority position coach on the staff. If he brings in the majority of his Cincinnati staff, there will be only 1 minority position coach UT's staff. Most SEC coaching staffs have at least 3 or 4 minority coaches on their staffs. How effective will the recruiting be with only 1 minority coach on staff?
Needs to add Tee Martin to this staff.
