He posed for it. Anyone with class would have celebrated with his kids but not posed for pictures. “It’s respect guys. I recruited those guys. I hope you respect that”. I guarantee the players at Ala would have. Butch was, is and always be about Butch. Nothing else.

You really think he is going to go job shadow at.....Florida State? Maybe Nebraska? That he is going to make a decision on his future based on some snowflake fans from the place that fired him?

Tell me what he accomplished other than being a joke at Alabama? Everyone, including their fans called him Sabans bitch.

And if his imagine was repaired why was he not offered a job with relevance? Seems Saban has given everyone in his rehabilitation center his good graces except… one.

Because Butch was never a P5 quality HC, anyone except Dave Hart could see that. Butch is at the level he belongs and his stint at Bama probably helped him get back to there.

I hate Butch, everyone else should as well. He never even tried to land work after being canned here. Even freaking Derek Dooley landed a gig immediately after being fired.

Surprised that CC is just a 17.5 favorite at Arkansas State. I'm thinking they will cover TWICE that.

Unlikely. He's a terrible coach and he isn't about to get another roster built by Kelly or a bunch of homers and legacy recruits dropped in his lap.

His losing season at Cincy was the only season that the majority of the teams he played had at least an even record.

Plus Butch isn't here any more. Can we just let it go and focus on the team and head coach we have now?

And? Nothing is 100% effective, but even the butt hurt have to admit that was his best shot at repairing his credibility.

It is ironic... that you don't realize what you just did there.

Get over others not "getting over" Jones to the degree YOU think they should. Again, don't like a topic... don't open it. Why aggravate yourself unnecessarily or make yourself an aggravation to others by playing hall monitor.

Jones is gone but his impact on UT is still going. It is part of what Heupel has to overcome. Jones was a terrible hire. Even a half way competent coach that had those first couple of classes fall into their lap could have reestablished the program. Instead, Jones proved capable of squandering more talent than Mark Richt. Nothing but a used car salesman with nothing under the hood.
