JONES: The freshmen (QBs) were in no way ready to play in the environment or in a game of this speed.

We won't see the freshman this year. They will redshirt. Next year, Riley Ferguson will be the backup, and maybe the starter, depending on how Worley does and grows.

i think he would have started worley this week if it wasn't for the fans.

I agree. However, now they will just start the Dobbs/Fergie drumbeat. The good thing is the list of potential starters is shorter now. That is also the bad thing since Peterman was loved by many on here.

He needs to stick with Worley until the bye week and relook at the situation then.

I think Ferguson starts next year with Worley backing him up. Peterman and Dobbs may be transferring

I would hate to think a coach who is getting paid millions would feel pressured by fans to start a player whom they know is not going to cut it. Peterman may be one of those players who practices great but crumbles under live game pressure. What I am surprised about is how long CBJ left him in.

No and any coach that listens to the fans on who should be starting should be fired immediately. I think jones honestly thought peterman looked better in practice. You can't predict what a kid will do in a hostile environment in a real game.

No way he started Peterman because the fans wanted it. He isn't that dumb. I think he felt Peterman, as a better runner, gave yes a better chance to win. Florida lined up to stop any running game and we struggled offensively. I agreed with the change at the time.

How many times did Peterman run?

Yet CBJ thought Peterman was ready to start, and continue through the 2nd quarter?

As did many of the fans.

What's the point of red-shirting players that can attribute to the team in a position of need in their freshman year? How hard is to figure out if a QB can go and run the offense? Why make your fan base suffer if you're afraid to make the change? Yeah, Peterman didn't do well for his first start. Yet, you have two other people with different skill-sets that might be the missing peice for your offense.
