Ferguson starts vs S. Alabama... Jmo
He didn't have to predict anything, all he had to do is look at the 3 big points we scored with Peterman against Austin Peay!!!!
i think he would have started worley this week if it wasn't for the fans.
Loose talk....
I figure butch would start Worsley and if he did not play up to speed he would bring in Peterman. Boy was I wrong. I think if Worsley homes in 2nd Qtr. We win..I am just lost for words. Will stand with my Vols till bitter DND. I think everyone is frustrated seeking blame.blame is on prior coaches and UT officials..[/QUOTE
If you think Worsley is cute, clever, or funny then you are wrong
Neither was the redshirt freshman.
Freak:
It's obvious to me after watching the Florida game that Worley is the only QB on the roster that can handle SEC Football, and while he's very limited, at the present time he's gives the Vols the best chance at winning a SEC game. Peterman and the true Freshman QB's may have better athletic skills than Worley, but none of them are ready to play against fast, physical SEC defenses. Just my two cents.
SIAP, but since Peterman is out with a broken thumb, it'll be interesting to see who Butch names as the backup/second-string QB. If Worley goes down in the next game or two, he may HAVE to pull a redshirt.
Heres my take on playing the true freshmen. Jones has 4 yrs to turn this thing around. Neither Worley nor Peterman are the long term solution. This season is a wash, Jones gets by no matter how many games we win. Play your young guys, find out who youre going with and next year they will game experience. There is no substitute for experience. Maybe we get a real stud qb next year. If Dobbs or Ferguson looks good, red shirt the new guy. But I just don't see the point in struggling with someone who is not the future. JMO.
