Some of you are out of touch with reality. Here are the facts:
- Program is in chaos
- University is in chaos
- Coach wasn't hired until early December and had (by my count) about 40 days to have any impact on recruiting at all when you account for the blackout period
Despite that:
- CBJ is a high energy guy who can sell anything
- We have a legacy and facilities that are second to none
- We have a fan base (that although has become a bit schitzo in recent years) is second to none when energized
I'm not making excuses for CBJ, but he played the cards he was dealt and I think he did about as well as anyone (and I mean anyone) could have done given the circumstances. All are entitled to their opinion, but first you have to accept the reality of where the program and the University (in general) stand today. If you start from that reality, you can see how tough of a job CBJ inherited. And will certainly appreciate these initial results more appropriately. Give it time folks.
