When there is no pressure he plays good. But when there is pressure or when he needs to make s play he can’t.
Interesting stat I learned tonight: Milton has never threw a TD pass when scrambling outside the pocket in his career. When he is on the run he is not capable of throwing a TD. Or hasn’t yet in his career.

Ya, they said that on tv.
He’s not been able to overcome his inadequacies.
That’s not a reflection on Hypel who coached up Hooker.
All it means is the coach will decide when it’s best to move on

Heupel started Milton over Hooker. It took Milton getting hurt for Hooker to get a chance. Heupel did not make the change because of Milton’s play. That’s what has me worried right now. That’s why I compared it to Butch and Pruitt the way they played JG over others, regardless of how bad JG was

Everyone watching practice said Hooker was struggling.
Hooker didn’t light it up at first either. Hooker came on quickly but was not the better option when Milton was hurt.

A lot of y’all has selective memory.

It was evident that Hooker was better the minute he come on the game and drove us right now didn’t he field for a score when we was behind multiple scores at the time. Nico could be the same, but we won’t know because Heupel is not gonna bench his guy unless he’s hurt.

Milton- 7/12, 50yds, 4.2avg, 5rush for 54yds
Hooker- 15/21, 188yds, 9.0avg, 9rush 49yds, 2TD’s.

When Hooker in, Pitt was up 20-13. But you’re right, Hooker was better was he? When Milton as in the game we had 1 TD and 2FG’s. Hooker comes in and leads the team to 3 TD drives.

You might compare him to Fulmer in the way Phil would seem to play seniors over more talented freshman and sophomores

You're a 5th year senior and you still need coaching at the ,3nd year level. Look Joe is what he is, stop coaching him, maybe he's a game manager, wherever, but he's past coaching. He's looking more like a dumbazz back there with each game.

Based on reports from the day Milton got here, he’s been very good in practice. Adding in the fact that he has a generational arm, it’s not hard to imagine a coach wanting to try and make a great player out of that. If the light never comes on, I trust Heup to make the change when he sees fit. Comparing him to Butch and Pruitt is so incredibly disrespectful to the man who took over the worst situation imaginable and gave us one of the most memorable seasons ever in his second year. Show some damn respect

Butch beat UGA on a miracle from Dobbs and Jennings. Heupel just beat Bama last year. One was a fluke. The other wasn't.

Butch beat UGA in back to back years. Those 2015 and 2016 teams was loaded with talent. It’s criminal what Jones did to those teams

There is no universe where Heupel is "falling on the sword for Milton". Heupel could go 5-7 this year and his chance of being fired is zero aside from some kind of NCAA violation.

Hooker had 37 TD’s at Tech. He lost his starting job because he got hurt. He never regained his spot back agent injury. Bad mistake. But to say Hooker was mediocre before Heupel isn’t completely accurate.

VT- 197-312, 63.14%, 2,894yds, 9.25avg, 37TD’s, total 7int, 1.033 rushing yards.

UT- 435- 631, 68.9%, 6,080yds, 9.65avg, 68TD’s, total 5ints, 1,050yds.

Hookers number were Similar at Tech with less coaching and less talent around him. He didn’t get the chance he got at UT once taking over the starter.

Heupel- started Milton over Hooker, and if not for the injury to Milton, Hooker don’t play when he did. Hooker plays for 2 years and Heupel looks like a great coach but misses the playoffs last year, even though had enough talent to make it. Hooker gone and Heupel starting to look like suspect.

Heupel is willing to die on the sword for Milton like Butch and Pruitt did for JG, even when it is clear Milton is not the answer. We do not know what we have in Nico till he gets meaningful time. But what I am certain of is that we can win the same amount of games with Nico at QB as Milton. When will Heupel give Nico a chance, or will he suffer the same fate as Pruitt and Butch?

I never said heuple would be fired. I saying he’s so far falling on the sword for Milton than making change. We go 5-7 this year and next snd Hueple is still safe. But his stubbornness to change QB’s up to this point has bee puzzling. How many times has Saban changed QB’s just to get a spark over the years? I don’t understand why he won’t see what Nico has.

UGA in those years wasn't close to Bama last year.

I completely agree what Butch did with that talent was criminal. What do you think would have happened last year, if Butch had been a 2nd year head coach at Tennessee? #1? Beat Bama? Beat Florida? I bet it wouldn't have gone as well.

Dooley at least recruited skill positions on offense. Heupel is coming off the ultimate "old man ball" coach.

Nevermind NIL or the portal.

The comparison is silly.
