Sooo, a perpetuated story is more factual than the guy who has never been wrong on this site? And, just for giggles lets just say it is true.... What would you do, as a parent, who has a child that accomplished what this child accomplished and had an injury that required surgery at the beginning of the season. Lets say this child also had a D1 offer on the table.... Are you silly enough to put your child's future college career in jeopardy?

College coaches don't call high school coaches and tell them that one of their players is not going to play anymore. That is insane--no coach would do that. High school coaches make decisions about their players, with input from parents and doctors when necessary. It may be that Hurd's parents decided that he shouldn't play anymore, and that decision may have been discussed with Jones or someone at UT. But Jones wouldn't have made the decision himself. Silly season.

I personally think Hurd is going to shock a lot of people his freshman year and be a much bigger impact than some are even thinking.

Let's not forget that Beech had a really good backup to Hurd as well. They didn't drop off much with that kid.

No one is going to be shocking anyone behind our O-line. Barry Sanders (in his prime) would have a hard time getting to 500 yards next year behind them.
What would be shocking is if Hurd doesnt end up hurt his freshman year.
