If by some miracle nobody declares and we have a team that compete then I say play it. If not, then there's no way i'd want to see Worley and company go up there and get their eyes beat in.

I have never in my life been ashamed to be a Tennessee fan. After coming to this website and seeing posts like this I am starting to be ashamed to be associated with this fan base. We play in the SEC. We are Volunteers!! Which means even if all odds are against us we are going in fighting. That's how this great university got the name. So be cowards and talk about how bad we're gonna get beat. But don't claim to be a Vol because you are failing miserably. Bring on the Sucks!

I want to win championships. We NEED to keep this Oregon game on the schedule. If we go up there and upset Oregon it'll legitimize CBJ and his staff within a few weeks. If we buy out this game and add Mississippi Valley State what does that do for this program besides add a meaningless win? Nothing! MUCHH more can come from playing this game than adding some scrub FCS team that serves as a scrimmage more than anything.

If we are as bad as the Negavols think maybe we should just shut down our program and quit. Why not at least give Butch Jones a chance to retrain these kids on how to win ball games and play with heart.Every year Oregon steps on there you know what and loses. Maybe this year it will be our game.GO VOLS beat Oregon

You gotta be kidding me. I guarantee we will be more competitive in games under CBJ than Dooley. No were not winning a NC but no way in hell are we losing 8to games nor should we buy out the Oregon game. Would be a disgrace and nothing but bad pub would come from it. We will win 6+ games. 3-1 in out of conf plus we beat beat AU and Uk for sure. Thats 5 wins plus we have GA, SC and Vandy at home. Could beat someone we shouldnt and should be Mizzou on the road. I see 6-7 wins and with that sched and a whole new coaching staff I will take 7 wins and 4 conf wins all day. Thats more rhan we have had the last 2-3. Im excited about our new staff and seeing a new philosophy.

Looks like our previous coach's loser attitude has infected some of our fanbase.

This game isn't an automatic L in the record books. It's an opportunity to get a big win. And down programs need big wins.

And what if were competitive? How exactly do you know we will get beat down? This isnt a Dooley or Sal coached D.. Not saying we can win but what if we do? Imagine the confidence and momentum it could start..

Thanks for fully proving you are a WUSS...Fans like you are a shameful bunch...We are TENNESSEE...Known for playing big OOC games...We back down from nobody...Since you are scared maybe you can go root for a team who plays a light schedule and is afraid of its own shadow :shakehead:

I agree!

I would never tell my kids they are not good enough for anything. Saying buy out the game is a loser attitude. Tennessee is not a loser school, grow a set of nuts and support the guys on the field. I am behind them 100%. I like the new coach more everyday and without the loser attitude of the old coach I think the guys can do good things. I might get my butt beat but I am going in there trying to bust some heads. If I lose everyone will know I have fought the good fight. This coach brings a new attitude I don't think you will see anymore quitting. Players visit this forum and reading threads like this have to make them sick!!!!

Play it, if we had the other guy I would say yes. I really believe the team will play for Coach Butch! We can't back down, Coach will coach these guys up and WE WILL MAKE A BOWL NEXT YEAR! we were not far off with the other guy. I believe Coach can handle 7 to 8 wins. Maybe even 9, I just don't believe other than Bubba and LSU we are not as far off as some of us think!

Coach Butch will win a game or two we are not supposed to win off coaching ability!! This Coach can flat out get it! Love his passion and work, he has taken pride in Tennessee and we must stand behind him as well as this team,!!
