Lets just drop the Florida and bama games and get out of the sec and move to the conference USA. I know what you're trying to say but I've been looking forward to playing at Oregon. Yes we'll probably get killed but tennessee is one of the, if not the only sec team to actually travel to other teams stadiums outside the sec. Sadly, Dooley and Hamilton had to make UT look bad by dropping the unc series but that era's behind us. Besides, there have been bigger upsets than tennessee beating Oregon. App state at Michigan ring a bell? Stanford at USC in 07 when they were 50 point underdogs? Not saying i think we'll win but we agreed to schedule eachother in the years we did, suck it up and play them. You never know what'll happen. Besides, we need to get rid of the bad rep UT is getting. Canceling this game makes us look like even bigger wimps.

Oh Hell no. Mostly because we came out and publicly said we will be there unless Oregon backs out when Chip Kelly accused us of trying to back out.. We cannot back down now.
And completely selfishly for me! I live in Eugene... And I would never hear the end of it! Bad enough these damn Ducks win and win and win while I watch my Vols wither away, I can't deal with anymore ammo for the people I know...

Go ahead and turn in your man card while exiting the room. Ask the players if they want a buyout... I think they would disagree with you. They live to compete.

When I opened this thread I thought it was going to be encouraging UT fans to buy out our ticket allotment for the game. Instead the OP thinks we should only play sucky OOC games so we can feel better about ourselves or something.

I for one am looking forward to this game and plan on trying to make the trip. Already have been checking out air fare.

This is my prediction. Basically what should have happened this year, but we have better coaches and plenty of talent.

If you go tell your football team, "hey guys we cancelled the Oregon game because you were probably going to get beat by 40" than how can you expect them to have any confidence that they will win any meaningful games. Loser/defeatist attitude equates to losing.
