Two part answer. The first game I ever attended was Tennessee vs. Georgia Tech on October 13th, 1979. Jimmy Streater led the Vols to a 31-0 victory. I became a die hard Vol fan my freshman year on The Hill in 1986...so Jeff Francis.

I barely remember Peyton. Tee is the first one I really remember watching play. The game against SC where he set the completion record is the first one that really stands out

First for me was Charlie Fulton in 1965. . .
until he was injured and replaced by Dewry Warren

My first game I watched (on TV, which was a very big deal back then) was the 1980 Bama game. The VOLS looked like crap, but they were my team from then on. I was 8.

--edit-- It was the ABC Game of the Week and I remember getting tired of Keith Jackson fluffing the Tide.
Charlie Daniels performed at halftime

I’m so old that the Vols were still running the single wing when I started following (1963). I can’t remember the tailback of that team. The first qb I remember was Art Galiffa in 1964.
