Couldn't agree anymore, but that pride is exactly what caused racism in the first place.

Racial pride and racism are two different things. Look up the definition of racism. It amazes me that people think like that. You obviously didn't grow up during the civil rights movement or shortly after. Racial pride never caused racism. Racial pride embraced peoples ethnicity as something to be proud of and to not be ashamed of who you are because you happen to have a different skin tone. However we are a diverse society now and we don't have to put that level of intense emphasis like we used to. Everyone black, white, orange should have a little pride in who they are. Doesn't make you a racist. Do your research.

I'm saying that's not true. Superiority causes racism. Believing you are superior to another race and discriminating due to race causes racism along with the behavior. Racial pride has absolutely nothing to do with it and there is no correlation between the two. Racial pride doesn't even plant the seed. Its behavior. Always has been always will be.

Its just not true. If people would research it instead of making a blanket statement because they think its the same you might see the difference. You hear the word pride and try to connect dots. Anyway apparently D'Vinner's site is down. I think its catching up to him.

Great news on D 'Vinner's website. Hope this serves as a lesson to him to not let a personal vendetta get in the way of what he claims his professional mission statement was. Unfortunately for him, this means he may need to brush up on his résumé and find a job.

I have been cleared by the NCAA of any wrongdoing. Let's tell theae recruits the truth you fear me. This goes back to 2011 when NO Memphis kids wanted to go to UT and it's my fault. Yes I hate UT, but wouldn't tell a kid where to or not to go. The kids can see for themselves of your track record. Martinez has been run out of Georgia Oklahoma State and Auburn now you think he can win at UT NO! You should have kept Coach Dooley at least he didn't cheat and lie to the kids. So when you want to bash someone you might want to realize I have friends around the country that listen to me and no I have norhing good to say about that place in Knoxville. Look at how many Afro American kids have signed with UT that have been dismissed. All are not bad, but the culture in Knoxville isn't good for a Afro American ? with Jayson Swain and 3 others."

Somebody needs to go on the youtubes & do a dramatic reading of this! Please somebody do this!

Pride is the start of that feeling better than anyone else. Remember white and black pride from the 70's. That ended up being hatred. It starts with pride and digresses into other things.

What would be the basis for that superiority feeling? Pride. Pride turns into arrogance, and i hope you see it now. Race needs to be deleted, or we will see idiots like devinner who use racial pride to rally a crowd against another race. I'm not saying its not good to embrace tradition, but take it as it is, an ancient tradition. Nothing more, nothing less.

Do you know specifically why his site is down? Have there been other people contacting his sponsors. It would seem that running a 7on7 in TN those same sponsors are probably UT grads and to hear him steer kids away borderlines on r$tarded.

I was around during that time and was a product of that pride. That pride did not lead to hatred. I say this again. Its behavior that led towards the racism. The Black Panther Party although well intentioned was not black pride but had a belief that they were better than whites. The Klan felt that they were superior to blacks. I was taught under the King methodology that I was EQUAL to whites and to not discriminate. My father preached that in the pulpit on Sundays and at home.My best friends growing up were white and we would have done anything for each other. Yet I still had a sense of black pride that enabled me to learn to get along with everybody. Its about behavior. Can we move off this topic now. Can't we all just get along? Don't we all bleed Orange? D'Vinner Sucks!

If you ask me (which you haven't, of course) so-called racial pride is just plain human stupidity.
There's one race (i.e. species) It's called homo sapiens sapiens. It includes variations marked by different physical traits. Not unlike species elephant, which include/included pygmy elephants, African elephants, Asian elephants and so forth marked by varying physical traits. Environmental stimuli forces physical traits upon a species, we call it adaption. If I recall right, rats, chimpanzees, and humans are the only species that engage in organized intra-warfare without justifiable cause. Justifiable cause involves limited food, limited space, or other survive related pressures. However, humans began instead to be motivated by exploitation and outright greed. In humans this leads to hatreds and artificially justifying of hate. Which creates behaviors that end up being self-fulfilling prophesies, thus a loop for the hate and hating behaviors to perpetuate by both the haters and hated, who become haters themselves. Eventually, the attitude and behavior gets politicized. Which is an exercise in downright stupidity by all parties. I would suggest you become familiar with something called the process of social equilibrium. Most sources gloss over the concept but there actually is a list to show the relationship and process between the oppressor and oppressed, whether inter-tribal or across social stratas.
