A current recruit is not the same as the Bru situation. This is his second transfer. Any recruit going to USC still has their free transfer and they wouldn’t even need USC’s permission to use it. This isn’t the same thing.
We're painting with broad brushes here. It just depends on the kid. Some (most?) won't care. But a thoughtful kid might think, "I may not find myself in the exact same situation, but how much does USC care about me as an individual if they're doing this to another player?" It's a vindictive move and that affects more than perfectly analogous situations. That might matter to a a few kids and not so much to others.
What would the parents of ANY young man think about how that admin parked him a year without any charges over an ALLEGED stalker’s accusations? Only takes one person.I don't have to speak to every person in the world to know that when you compare two DIFFERENT situations, people in Situation A are not going to be concerned about people in Situation B.

You’re getting a lot of emotion for those two coppers.Fair enough. Some look at the situation differently, which is perfectly fine. And, like I mentioned earlier, I could be convinced that someone in the transfer portal using their first transfer to go to USC might think carefully about what happens if they need to transfer a 2nd time. But, for me, I imagine the vast majority of high school aged kids going through the process aren’t thinking about what might happen if they end up at USC as their 2nd destination after transferring. That’s a fairly narrow group of individuals in the grand scheme of things. Just my two cents.
I have to agree with Mook. They are likely not following the situation at all and probably stay off Twitter. Also, the coaches and admin there are spinning it totally different to them. Very little chance they care at all, IMO.This just isn’t true
Also, there could be some parents of USC recruits that get wind of this and really become skeptical about letting their kid go there. That’s entirely possible.

THIS leads to THAT pretty easily if a parent has access to an internet machine.
PARENTS of kids being RECRUITED “stay off Twitter”? That stuff you’re selling has got to be off the chain, Doc!I have to agree with Mook. Guess the crux of this is we see this subject totally different. Now take odds on which of us is going to shut up first. Not really. Just having a discussion.
And, again, fair enough. If we want to discuss the allegations, then you are probably right. But, originally, the discussion was surrounding how parents might react to USC blocking a 2nd transfer of a student athlete. We're all Tennessee fans here, so we look at these situations under a distorted microscope of how it impacts the university that we love, which is completely understandable and reasonable.
IMO, I just don't see that many families looking at the Bru McCoy situation and taking USC off their list of schools.
