'19 CA ATH/WR Horace "Bru" McCoy (Tennessee commit)

So I think this is all awesome this isn’t a big conspiracy or anything related back to Heupel and Lincoln or anything.

USC thinks Bru can get eligible through the ncaa. They’d rather him do that then signing an NPO and adding ammunition to lawsuits for their handling of Bru/him not being afforded the opportunity to continue his career at USC. Their lawyers have clearly advised them to have the ncaa handle it to limit liability. If the ncaa turns this down then it’s back to usc as the only option for eligibility (which again I doubt happens but)

Second recruits and their parents aren’t thinking their kids are going to transfer multiple times or be involved in (wrongful) domestic assault allegations. This is a weirdly complex situation and in general people don’t appropriately weight things going wrong as much as they do right.

Don't care. We riot anyways.

Fun…but bunk.

I don't think that AP would put that tidbit out there, pointing the finger at USC, if he didn't have some good inside information to the contrary of what USC is trying to say. I would hope that he wouldn't, anyway. Obviously someone inside or near the program is ok with him applying pressure, if not outright encouraging it.

I wouldn't think that the staff and team would go to bat for Bru if they didn't think the facts would support Bru/UT. I don't think that AP would go to bat for UT and Bru if he didn't think the facts would support him as well.

Both sides are calling up their favorite people in the media to feed them their side. Seems like the trenches are getting deeper.

Someone is going to come away looking very bad in all of this.

Are they trying to strongarm Bru to drop a lawsuit?

Sounds to me, and this would make sense, that they are trying to put the entirety of this solely on the NCAA to protect themselves in the future. It's a dirtbag move but in this day of litigiousness its all CYA. We just need to pray that DW's NCAA ties are as strong as we think.

There has to be some sort of legality involved for Usc to not have wrapped this up already. It helps none of the parties involved to drag this out and is detrimental to this kids future..This case isn't as simple as "Sorry were closed come back next week".Your losing valuable years of rep and experience not to mention the life long financial ramifications.

No schools should not be allowed to tamper or recruit players that are enrolled at other schools. If the player wants out he can put himself in portal then you can go after him. But a school should not be allowed to contact a player enrolled at another school and recruit him. There is no good reason for that. GBO!
