I listed several reasons why the 2018 defensive performance dropped off from that of 2017. Pruitt's departure was only one of those. So, it's reasonable to conclude there would've still been a significant dropoff even if Pruitt hadn't left. My post wasn't homerish, but your response to it seems to be -- or else you just struggle with reading comprehension and logic.

Man get out of here with that nonsense. I agree there were lots of factors behind the decline. To say Pruitt’s departure was (or wasn’t) the primary reason behind it is presumptive and applying your own biased logic.

My comprehension and logic are just fine. You’re an idiot. See — works great.

Being 21-4 speaks for itself. Doesn’t matter if he has a ground game when you knock people out. Js

And truthfully I’m not a mcgregor fan. I just like the gif

Decent for his weight class but he's nothing special. His persona makes him seem greater than he is. Although he is great, he's not a generational talent. He doesn't have much competition right now.

I just hate that mentality. I can't stand someone who is that arrogant about his abilities. He's decent but someone who knows what they are doing can knock his a** out. I loved pinning guys like that in wrestling matches.

I’m not a big fan of the ground and pound. I’d rather see a stand up fight with both guys throwing haymakers.

What does this mean?
It means that it’s silly to use the argument that a class that has completely matriculated wasn’t any good because no one stuck around when comparing it to a class that hasn’t had a spring practice yet.

There are valid arguments on both sides when assessing the 2019 class, but that isn’t one of them. We could be having a conversation about the high wash out rate of this class two years from now for all we know.

Since you seem to have an interest in it, I can hopefully assume you've been in a nasty fight or two. I certainly know I have. But most fights end on the ground. Even MMA ones. A pure boxing match is just unheard of in a street fight. It usually ends with a few broken teeth and maybe some broken bones. And some bruised pride for sure.

I will agree that a fight with a bunch of haymakers is much more fun. But ground and pound is usually how it ends. Which is why the wrestling experience helps me a ton. Although, I hope my fighting days are behind me. I'm too old for that s*** haha. I don't fight now unless I have to.

Yea I’m not sure either. I’m hoping we can finally steal an elite prospect in NSD. It’s been a while since we’ve done that

Yeah I’ve been in my fair share. I agree most fights end that way. I can deal with it for the most part but watching a match where thier on the ground from the start is imo boring. But for instance Forrest griffin vs Stephan bonnar 1 was much more enjoyable over say Silva vs sonnan 1.

Please stop with the BS. Butch got top 10 classes because of sheer numbers and thats it. He brought in 61 players over a 2 year span. Pruitt can only bring in 50. So Georgia just turned down one of the best players in their state because of depth? Flat out lie. Morris is a Vol because Pruitt got him.

Plus factor in that Butch didnt have to deal with the ESD. Your posts are misinformed and stupid at the same time.
Did I say Georgia turned him away? No. Their depth chart scared him, and Tn and Auburn were his easiest to early playing time.

Saban may not have closed on HT as well. He isn’t a good closer either.
HT isn't the only one. We had one pass rusher all year last year, and he didnt bloom until midseason. Pass rushers should of been lined up to play for a defensive guru. We got a couple jucos, but that's about a 50/50 chance if they work out.

Fair enough. I just stray away from most fighting matches. I know just how nasty they can get. And I don't like people with no experience commenting on how things went. I prefer soccer or American Football.

But yeah, those on the ground fights do seem boring. Except to people who know how rough it is in that tussle. But that's life. And real life fights can get down-right fatal if people aren't careful. The whole curb-stomping thing is absolute gore if someone doesn't know how to check their self.
